VBS NEWS 2019

What a great VBS Day Camp week!!!!! We had 61 campers and teen helpers throughout the week! The Ingham Okoboji Team was wonderful and did a great job helping us to PRESS ON and depend on God through songs, games, skits, stories, and art projects. Also, throughout the week, the kids brought in monetary donations to send to The United Methodist Church in Hornick, IA. During the spring floods, they lost everything in their church basement, including all of the materials they use for their Kids Club Program. Our day campers (with a little help from their parents and our generous congregation) were able to raise over $300 to help them purchase what they need to start their program back up !!! Such a great way to share God's love with others! We ended our fun week on Thursday night with a Summit Supper Celebration, which included a hot dog supper (we served 100 ), a wonderful program, and some messy fun with whipped cream! Lots of fun was had by all!!! All of this could not be possible without the help of SO many who were willing to share their time, donations, and prayers. Thank you to all who helped in any way. We would like to especially thank Tim and Elaine Cook for once again opening their home and hearts to Evan, Kendra, Zoe, Kirsten, and Andrea, the Ingham Okoboji Team. Also, thank you to Elaine and Margaret Nomann for their behind the scenes computer expertise and for creating our pow-er point for the program Thursday night that highlighted our great week!!!. Finally, a big thank you to Beth Wiemers, for sharing her creative gifts and painting such beautiful de cor for us....it truly added to the fun for our week!! We are so blessed to have a church family that supports VBS in so many ways each year!!! The Education Team
