General Observations
• Is very straightforward and simple; what you see is what you get
The Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) Report (Leader) is derived through collected and measured data from our APTUS Exercises. BLUF Reports are intended to quickly and efficiently show how the assessed individual Defines, Processes and Executes instructions and information across various contextual environments. Each BLUF Report is unique. "Developmental Strategies" are direct and intended for immediate action/implementation.

Specific Analysis
• Slow but accurate problem solver.
• Excellent understanding beyond basic concepts.
• Quickly frustrated when confused.
• Decides quickly how they want to learn something.
• Comfortable with routines to the point that it puts them in a rut.
• Becomes complacent if not challenged.
• Lacks attention to detail when in a hurry or rushed.
• Attention to detail declines after becoming comfortable with performance.
• More comfortable in discussing what just happened rather than what needs to happen next.
• May be satisfied with "good enough" execution of some assignments when performance could be better.
Developmental Strategies
• Give them time to complete complex problems; then discuss their solutions with them.
• Challenge them to apply new concepts in many different areas. Review, discuss and provide feedback on
the areas where new concepts have been applied.
• Be patient as they learn new concepts; acknowledge success.
• Let them explain why they prefer a certain way of learning; doing so allows them to more easily accept new
methods.
• Require them to take different approaches to similar challenges. Require them to provide a recommended
solution to every challenge.
• Continually increase their performance goals for tasks as long as they can maintain accuracy.
• When they complete a requirement or task early, demand 100% accuracy and quality.
• Provide daily reminders to focus mentally, especially in areas where they are most comfortable. Encourage
them to fight against becoming complacent.
• Quickly review their performance, get to the point as soon as possible. Give specific start and stop times for
planned discussions. Do not allow them to apply yesterday's solutions to tomorrow's challenges; encourage new techniques and more efficient methods.
• Set new performance goals immediately after current ones are met.
