What are the objectives?
When you read Chinese characters, you know the English. When you hear Chinese pinyin, you know the Pinyin.
Challenge:
When you read in English, you can say in pinyin. When you read in Pinyin, you can write in characters.
How to achieve the objectives?
1. Often and little. One page a day, tick the ones you have already know and highlight the ones you are struggling with, then revise again.

Any tips when struggling?
Characters – write, write, and write! Read characters and write English. Then, copy characters 5-10 times. Finally, cover read English and write in characters. If any mistakes, copy another 3-5 time straight always. Then revisits regularly.
Pinyin – don’t need to worry about the exactly spelling of the pinyin. As long as the ‘spelling’ match’s the ‘sound’, it is acceptable. Don’t aim for the accuracy in tones when you first start, get the general sound of the work. You MUST read it out loud at least 10 times for each word. By saying it, it will help with your listening as well. Don’t be shy, record yourself, read to yourself in the mirror because it is scientifically proven that helps a great deal. Or try it on ‘Memrise’!
When you want to give up or procrastinate?
Do more = higher grade, do less = lower grade. You laugh, you cry, you should always come back for more!
