Application:

The Aquamax TAN total acid number titrator hasbeen designed to offer maximum specifications andfeatures whilst being priced at a very competitivelevel. This titrator conforms to ASTM D664 fordetermination of acidic constituents in petroleumproducts, lubricants and transformer insulating oils.

Communications software between Aquamax TAN titrator and PC

Allows viewing and printing of all sample input, blank value and titrationmeasurement data. Reports on multiple samples can be generated directlyand exported to Excel or Access. Following data will be printed (or sent to PC) after

a titration:Header, instrument serial number, date and time, sampleID code, sample weight, titrant volume, titration result inmg KOH/g, titration duration, user name.

How does it workAquamax TAN titrator conforms to ASTM D664

Usual procedure is

Calibration of the electrodes with aqueouspH11 buffer. Automatic rejection if electrodes inpoor condition.

Blank determination for the titration solvent. TheAquamax TAN determines the blank value andautomatically stores it in all titration programs.

TAN analysis. Select the suitable titration programin accordance with the expected TAN value andperform the titration.

Results are expressed in mg KOH/g. They arestored in the data logger, displayed on theAquamax TAN screen, and also sent to aprinter or PC.
