WorléeBase AQ – Aqueous Pigment Dispersions for Decorative Cosmetics
WorléeBase AQ –Aqueous Pigment Dispersions
Pigment Dispersionsfor Decorative CosmeticsWorléeBase AQ are pigment dispersions based on an aqueous polymer-pigment mix-ture. The products can be used in decorative cosmetics such as liquid eyeliner, mascara, eye shadows, water based nail-polishes, and foundations. Owing to the preparation of the pigments in a water/polymer matrix, working with the pigments is simplified considerably, and saves cost-intensive process time and equipment. Due to the adapted production process, the pigments are finely dispensed in the dispersing agent. When work is per-formed with WorléeBase AQ, the exposure of production employees to pigment dust is prevented.
Pigments tend to agglomerate in formula-tions. The color strength, gloss, and opacity depend on the particle size of the agglom-erates. When the dispersion particle size comes closest to the primary particle size, theoretically the highest the color intensity
and opacity is reached. The use of Worlée-Base AQ dispersions with Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, organic, and other pigments offer full color development, better stability, improved gloss, and easy handling.
Beside the standard range, we offer tai-lor-made colors on request.
Applications Eyeliner Mascara Eye shadows Water-base nail polishes Foundations
Formulation and ProcessingIt is easy to stir WorléeBase into the aqueous phase. Grinding is not needed and cold-pro-cessing is possible. WorléeBase AQ can also be heated to 80°C.
The combination with WorléeMicromer al-lows setting different film properties quick-ly and easily. The pH in formulations with WorléeBase AQ should be above 6.5, other-wise the polymer/pigment mixture becomes unstable.
