•  A program that provides agents with training, an examination, and certification to become an ARC Specialist and an ARC Specialist Qualifier (ASQ)

•  An ARC Specialist and an ASQ is an agent who has demonstrated knowledge of ARC’s Area Settlement Plan (ASP) by passing a stringent training program followed by an examination

•  An ASQ is an agent that has officially been designated by their agency’s owner or officer as the “qualifier” to be responsible for the day-to-day ARC functions for their agency with ARC’s approval per the Agent Reporting Agreement (ARA)

Purpose of the ARC Specialist Training and Certification Program

•  To ensure all ARC Ticket Reporting Agencies (TRAs) have at least one (1) person on staff that is knowledgeable about

o  ARC’s processing and settlement plan

o  ARC’s operations

•  To ensure each TRA has the ability to maintain the day-to-day ARC functions which include:

o  Ticketing

o  Sales reporting

o  Stock maintenance

•  Familiar with ARC’s ARA

Requirements Modernization

•  ARC Specialist Certification – New agents must continue to pass the ARC Specialist exam

•  Elimination of the Recertification Process for Current ARC Specialists

•  Current ARC Specialist will maintain their certification by taking an annual continuing education course

•  Continuing Education (CE) Course

o  Must be taken each year (1 per year)

o  Will have until the end of each calendar year to complete (12/31)

o  No examination

o  No cost

•  Failure to complete a CE

o  ARC Specialist Certification is revoked

o  Must retake the ARC Specialist Exam
