With the publication of Advisory Circular 150/5300-18, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has established a comprehensive digital data standard and developed the Airports GIS system, which will also serve as a key enabler for the Next Generation Air Traffic Control System (NextGen). ArcGIS® for Aviation: Airports assists airports and their consultants in complying with these data management and quality standards as well as others such as International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Annex 14 and the Aeronautical Data Quality (ADQ) requirements adopted by the European Commission in 2010.
