Zucchini is an Indo-Italian fine-dining restaurant situated in Udaipur, the city of lakes. The

USP of restaurant is its authentic food, which reflects the blend of cooking skills of international chefs, organic ingredients, Parisian cheeses etc. These delicacies had to be served in very classy and unique ambience. Looking around at one of the busiest streets of town, the serenity of Udaipur was nowhere to be found; hence the desire to achieve ‘classy fine dining experience’ was a Challenge. A theme that could exude the charm of contemporary serenity was hence opted for, and since the cuisine was both Indian as well as Italian, the restaurant had to be a mélange, demonstratingboth- the keywords being ‘Classy, Calm, Chic and Contemporary’.

The Hexagonal geometry is used in the ceiling, screen jaalis and display shelves. The Graphics and signage are designed in conjunction with the interior theme. Also known as “Sleek Modern,” Swallow Drive was designed by collaborating partners, IR Architects and C & C Builders. This contemporary home is located on a prime corner in the Doheny Estates, built to be an entertainer’s dream home. Sleek Modern was designed in response to the clients’ request for an inspirational home with wide open spaces that would create a seamless indoor-outdoor transition, while maintaining privacy. The single family home totals 5,773 square feet above grade with a 3,566 square foot basement and a 4 car garage. The open floor plan of this home allows for people to flow from room to

Building upon the concept of modern architecture, a seamless indoor-outdoor space is achieved by utilizing a small number of walls strategically placed to establish privacy without corrupting the concept of the design and surrounding views. Sleek Modern was opened up in order to embrace the breathtaking views that surround the site. The design holds strong horizontal planes that guide the viewers eyes and truly takes advantage of all of the site’s views. Sleek Modern compliments the Los Angeles luxury lifestyle.

Right from the living room to the bedroom the architect duo made the most of the picturesque view by constructing floor to ceiling glass windows, thus giving the bedroom more of a luminous touch. A modern abode with an open floor plan like this takes full advantage of its view. It is a perfect minimalistic room for nature’s enthusiast.

Keeping one connected to nature this contemporary house also has an exciting corner for movie buffs. Leather seats with drink holder, projector, ‘movie hall’ like LED ceiling lights gives one a feeling no less than a cinema hall. The cushions and recliner leather seats add a touch of comfort. The seating arrangement holds almost 13 to 15 people which will surely be a hit for a get together followed by a movie night at ones very own abode.

The spacious island kitchen accompanied by a small dining table and a couple of counter height chairs is not only a space saver but also does justice to the modern concept of this house.

Just like the rest of the house, the picture given below demonstrates us a kitchen which absorbs a picturesque view through a series of expansive glass wall.

The bathroom upholds the ‘functional yet minimalistic theme’, without being crowded thus giving a sense of calmness. In addition to this once again the glass walls giving way to the lush green lawn keeps one connected to nature. The frameless glass shower panels with a simple bathtub placed outside the shower panel makes ones bathroom seem bigger and more stylish.

TamashaBar

An ‘indoor’ bar cum eatery is a thing of the past. Outdoor seating arrangement nicely done with warm yellow lights accompanied

by a bar does justice to the place at the heart of the city. This place adds a quirky affect to its ambience by placing a vibrant red truck with a bar in it. The outdoor seating arrangement has been given a cozy affect all thanks to the sofas. Having a vibrant getup ‘Tamasha’ is a ‘go to place’ for a person or a group of friends to fancy a drink at the hub of a city still close to nature (the credit goes to the trees, which gives a country side feel).

The indoor restaurant is stark different from the outdoor design. Warm yellow lights, wooden flooring and furniture, arm chair styled chairs, rough brick walls and floor length arched glass panels gives a grand look. All in all this place has set the standards high for any other bar cum eatery to compete with.

traditional theme is the USP of the showroom. Minute detailing in the material has been taken into consideration to achieve an engrossing store for customers.

The motive in designing the showroom is to provide different types of display styles in a single space. Traditional Gaddi System is used in for display of Sarees’s & Lehanga’s so that ample space can be allocated for un-folding of the same where as Counter and Hangings are provided for suits & dresses. An open space with mirror in front has been designed in the center, where the dresses can be draped. This open space has a raised platform with focus lights strategically placed so as to focus directly on the person standing. A front mirror and an accessory counter is also provided to compliment it.

Different section is provided along with a trial room exclusively for brides to make their trousseau shopping a memorable one. It provides special treatment to the brides where they can choose their outfit for their D day and several ceremonies in a relaxed environment. The ambience is created using golden tiles, wall papers & lights.

The use of MDF Jaali provides traditional flavor to a contemporary space. Jaali work is extensively used in the showroom at various levels which includes hanging from ceiling. The prime function of the Jaali is to enhance the aesthetic appeal and provide pattern to overall space. Along with Jaali, patterned wall-paper on the ceiling and on the walls forms perfect background for the display items of the showroom. Jaali is also used at storage level in combination with modern materials like Acrylic, Corian, Alabaster sheet, wallpapers etc. These Jaali’s became design highlight features of the showroom and becomes part of memory for every visitor.

Namrat was approached by a young passionate chef recently returned from Bangkok after working in one of the top restaurants. Eager

to start his own space to serve some delicious food. He was interested in the american deli culture of food and dining experience. Being his first cafe, he wanted to start with a cuisine close to his heart and stomach: Wholesome Enormous Delicious Burgers.

Restaurant is located in fast paced developing town of vashi in Navi Mumbai. Right opposite Vashi station, making it visible to a large sector of people. Being on the first floor, it was really important to design a

convincing and attractive facade, even the signage was crucially designed to stand out from the rest of ads and sign boards around.

Space making for fat kid deli was not only about placing furniture but also about synergy amongst different mediums of design: whether it is calling one of Mumbai leading graffiti artist: Zake or making typographical

partitions or making it feel like an alley in New York with random messages on the wall. The concept of this deli was to bring about a positive and fun vibe to the place yet having rustic and grungy interiors. Keeping the space as raw and rustic Namrat, Studio Node added spurts of peppiness through the colourful graffiti on the walls. Typography was an integral part of the interiors be it for the conversations written on the walls or the bright yellow metal partition.

Namrata, also played with the variety in seating - a long Community table with old rustic

stools , a hexagon cushioned bench, a private couple booth and peddle bar stools.

There was an issue in the kitchen planning as the building did not allow the kitchen to exhaust out in the duct. We had to plan an external duct going from the kitchen to the outdoors. We wanted this to be part of the facade design, painting it black and orange made it part of the branding. We also played around the the shutters below the kitchen window, white stained plywood with initials of Fat Kid deli : F*KD, adding a fun element visible at the entrance.
