The project consists of an addition to a house in the Atlanta area. The west facade of the structure is expanded, creating a larger living, cooking, dining, and entertaining area for the homeowners. Emphasis is placed on abundant daylighting and openness and connectivity of spaces
This Phase I project is currently under construction. Phases 2 & 3, consisting of a ground-up garage construction and first floor master bedroom addition are in the design stages.

Positive Tension
The conceptual vision and representation of the Beltline in Atlanta as single-use space is challenged by contextualizing and creating a specific solution for a place of racial and social tension in the current ending point for the Eastside trail. The area of the project marks a place where the trail is discontinued, marking a connection between two of the three original railroad lines making up the Beltline.
Taking the physical manifestation of the tensions along this sharply disconnected border of neighborhoods and transportation lines, a sense of destination and place-making is harnessed to create a series of physically and visually open community spaces.

Positive Tension
The main elements of retaining walls, paths, and angled enclosures host a community-based bike sharing facility, including a sales and repair shop in a re-purposed building on Edgewood Avenue and Krog Street, a community garden as well as a variety of resting, picnic, and kids’ play areas. The walls and paths follow the existing topography, materially expressed in brick and concrete paving.
The bike-sharing program hub is meant to act as a model for future expansion of hubs as stops along the Beltline, fostering a connection between all the neighborhoods surrounding the transport corridor, both inside and outside the Beltline loop.
Angled enclosures are constructed of welded steel tubes and fitted with a variety of interchangeable panels including re-purposed corrugated metal, recycled glass, and perforated and solid panels to create different levels of shading and enclosure along the paths.

The value of water as part of the ecological system is re-affirmed by efforts and care for collection and re-circulation in a variety of balcony & lawn green spaces. Main objectives include creating and implementing a new paradigm of the learning process as a self-discovery through immersion and first-hand experience and to create a landmark feature to assert the schoolʼs presence and identity and to draw the attention of the community to the importance of sustainable values.

Health and Wellness Center of Roswell
The City of Roswell, GA from a historic town square. The town square today is a symbol of the strong sense of community in Roswell and is used for a variety of cultural, seasonal, and arts festivals.
Once into the site, we channel the public through the main axis we are creating by turning a street into a pedestrian avenue and conceptually separating the project area in two.Starting with the hospital block, we divided it into two parts – the inpatient and outpatient wings with surgery tying the two as a component used by both sides of the building.

Located in a crossroads of dense downtown Atlanta on one side and Peachtree Street on the other, the community center is a connection between these different areas and an extension the Peachtree Street corridor arts presence
The dance studio is home for the gloATL, a contemporary dance group known for interactive, engaging and unique performances in unusual spaces with an emphasis on the arts. The center provides unique spaces and a variety of exhibition and performance spaces for the community.

Building Section
Through a series of light studies at the beginning of the project, the aquatic center was organized around a central axis leading the viewer through a series of light and water moments along a steep ridge, the central feature of the site.
Other important elements, including two existing buildings are integrated into the program and path progression. Along with integration with the existing environment, minimal site disturbance and an internally oriented outdoor space are emphasized.

Environmental Research Center
The purpose of the environmental center is to conduct research as well as to serve as a community meeting and information center for the historic Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood in Atlanta, GA.
The building is designed with attention to solar context, natural ventilation, and other sustainable practices such as a green roof. The spaces are organized hierarchically with the most public ones, including a cafe and auditorium, in the bottom level, and private residences on the top floor.

The building consists of two-person units intended for graduate university students, located in Midtown Atlanta, GA, as part of the Georgia Institute of Technology campus. The public spaces are programmed to encourage interaction between the students, with a cafe and gallery on the lobby level, and common rooms and terraces on each residential floor.
