Rapp Bomek AS is a leading global supplier of ire-rated heavy, medium and light duty doors for off- and onshore applications.
The company has its corporate headquaters and main production plant in Bodø, Northern Norway.
Rapp Bomek AS provides a complete range of ire doors including explosion-proof hinged and sliding doors, gas-tight doors and automatic ire doors. Other products in the Rapp Bomek product range include watertight doors and hatches, and mooring equipment.

Rapp Bomek has a long history of delivering tailor-made products for demanding customers, this is made possible through our highly dedicated and very experienced engineering group.
Keeping up to date on rules and regulations, while also exploring new possibilities and products, the customer is always kept in focus. From our smallest internal doors to large, sliding V-doors for drilling platforms, we have a solution.
The delivery of quality is our main focus, including all the required documentation related to our products.
Our technical department creates 3D models and technical drawings accurately and according to our customer’s expectations. Our 3D models can also visualize the exact applications before production.
Technical Department
Our doors are engineered with decades of real life experience from some of the world’s most harsh marine environments in The North Sea and Arctic Waters.
All products offered by Rapp Bomek meet high quality requirements. Our experience, combined with machine lexibility, enables optimization of solutions to suit individual client needs.
One of Rapp Bomek’s most important assets is the constant enhancement of production techniques and development of machinery. Since 2007 the company has made large investments including a new production hall of 1500 m2, which include northern Norway’s largest surface treatment, plant and inal assembly of ire doors.
Rapp Bomek has two AMADA machines, a laser that cuts stainless steel and aluminum from 0-10 mm, and carbon steel from 0-22 mm, and a bending machine of 320 tons and 4000 mm length.
Production Department
Rapp Bomek AS has a service team of around 20 highly trained service engineers that can provide installation and maintenance on all types of ire doors and systems and equipment.
The service team has extensive experience and has the necessary certiicates and safety courses required for offshore work.
Our service team have performed installations, surveys, maintenance and recommendations for upgrading and cost effective improvements on all worlds continents.
Service and maintenance Our service department will assist in all matters related to spare parts, ire door systems and service engineers.
Rapp Bomek have developed a “Total Agreement” concept, which is used on a lot of platforms and FPSOs in order to reduce costs for the operators. Today we have long-term frame agreements with several major companies in the oil industry for maintenance on ire doors and ire door systems.
Our ire doors are manufactured for application in different environments and within all ire classes.The doors are manufactured under a strict QA system in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
Rapp Bomek’s well proven and reliable pneumatic systems can be supplied both for hinged and sliding doors. These systems can be supplied both as pneumatic assisted or as full pneumatic operated systems.
Our systems have been used on our doors for more than 30 years. Throughout the years, the systems have been continuously developed and improved. The systems can be conigured in most constellations based on customers’ requests.

Door leafs and frames of mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum are available. Rapp Bomek doors cover all ire ratings and types:

Fire doors
Our ire doortypes are all full scale tested against ire, blast and jet ire. The doortypes are physically tested according to most applicable speciications and are type-approved by Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Bureau Veritas and the US Coast Guard for use on oil- and gas installations.
Testing of Fire Doors
Rapp Bomek AS has a long history of design, engineering, production and installation of custom-built doors for special applications. For example, we manufacture V-doors for drill towers and rigs, blast relief doors and oversized doors. We also develop and produce special hinged and sliding doors on demand. Custom built doors
HatchesRapp Bomek AS offers a wide product range within custom built hydraulic operated hatches, water & weathertight, lush types, ROV hatches and others. Rapp Bomek manufactures a full range of project speciied water- and weathertight doors/hatches in combination from NR to H120/J30 ratings.
Many products are watertight in accordance with DNV-OS-C301.
