FREQUENTLY ASKEDQUESTIONSWhen does the work start?

The contractor has been appointed and works are planned to commence in September 2014.

When will the work finish?

Completion is planned for summer 2015.

What will the work involve?

The current paving will be removed, new light columns installed, new paving and kerb lines laid and new plantings and street furniture added. We acknowledge there will be disruption however this work is required to achieve the desired improvements to the town.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption, however, this is a major project which will involve work being conducted outside commercial businesses. Access to properties will be maintained at all times. We will keep you informed of work schedules and plans, and have provided you with contact details should you require additional information. For up to date information please visit our dedicated webpage www.ards-council.gov.uk/donaghadeepublicrealm

Why are we doing this?

The Public Realm Scheme will greatly enhance the appearance of Donaghadee, encouraging future investment by showing our commitment to the town. The improved appearance, flexibility and accessibility will increase visitor footfall to the area.
