The pilot is aimed at children and young people 0-25 and their families who interact with more than one service (across education, health or social care) and feel that being able to share their story with professionals using a computer, tablet or smartphone would be beneficial.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?Wikis give you and your family the chance to tell your story once, in your own words.

Wikis can be used to share information for education, health and care plans, progress reviews, medical appointments and sharing successes.

You can share your wiki with the people who work with you and your family, who you know and trust, so that they can learn more about you and better understand how they can support you to reach your goals.

For more information on Rix Wikis speak to your Education, Health or Social Care professional or visit: https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/50224/birmingham_children_s_partnership/1994/rix_wiki_pilot_scheme

TELLING YOUR STORYWikis are really easy to use and let you tell your story, showing what you can do, what is important to you, what your goals are and the things you may need help with.

The wiki is owned by you and your family or carer and enables you to tell your story through pictures, words, videos and sound.

You can invite others who look after you, or work with you, to view any part of your wiki that you choose to share. You keep control of who can see what.

Sharing your wiki with the professionals you and your family deal with saves you from having to repeat things over and over again, and you can use any media you choose to do this, such as video or pictures.

Wikis can be used by children, young people and their families with differing needs.

The wiki is yours to use and to keep up-to-date for the length of the pilot. It only contains the information you want to include in it.

You can watch a video at https://youtu.be/MUdodGt8CC to find out what a wiki is and how it can support you.

There is a new pilot scheme in Birmingham called Rix Wiki. It will run

until the end of February 2021 and is open to Birmingham residents.
