Toby Wyman – The Atlanta Dream Toby Wyman is president & COO of theAtlanta Dream. Prior to joining the AtlantaDream in 2009, Wyman served as AssistantGeneral Manager, Business Operations for theAtlanta Braves. While there, he oversaw allrevenue generating initiatives for the GwinnettBraves including ticket and sponsorship sales,and led the development and execution of theGwinnett Braves marketing andcommunications platform. Wyman gained much of his experience in theadvertising industry having held positions onboth the agency and client sides of thebusiness. He has major consumer brandexperience working on such brands as OceanSpray, T.J. Maxx and the Boston Globe. AsVice President of Advertising for Foot Locker,he worked with global brands such as Nike,Reebok, and Adidas developing cooperativeadvertising and marketing campaigns for the
nation's number one athletic footwear retailer. Wyman is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he received his B.S. in Management Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Wagner College where at the time he was the youngest Division I Head Wrestling Coach in the nation.

Member Spotlight
Spencer Mullins
Spencer G. Mullins was born in Marietta, Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 1984. He obtained Unix Systems Management Certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997. Spencer obtained Real Property Appraisal Certification from the Appraisal Institute in 2009. Spencer is a State Registered Real Property Appraiser and he is with: Hall Rigdon & Associates, 231 Washington Avenue, Marietta, GA, 30060 - (770) 794-9433 Commercial & Land Appraisals Spencer’s hobbies include fishing, camping, Civil War collectables, antiques and gardening.
PolioPlus Fund
Since the PolioPlus program's inception in 1985, more than two billion children have received oral polio vaccine. But Rotary's work is not done: The disease has not yet been eradicated. Contribute to the PolioPlus Fund online or by mail to support Rotary's dream of a polio-free world. Rotary's $200 Million Challenge is the Rotary Foundation's response to the two grants totaling $355 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help eradicate polio. Every dollar given to PolioPlus will be counted toward the $200 million match, which must be completed by 30 June 2012. Tim Bailey conducted the invocation and led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Amy Knudsen introduced guests and conducted the GRSP raffle. She also gave a short bio on herself.
Roel Fung-A-Wing won a Starbucks gift card in the GRSP raffle.
District Paul Harris Society Director Bill Smith won a Shell gas card in the GRSP raffle.

President Kay Anderson gave an overview of a student who received a GED grant from the club.

Past President Rene Lanier gave an update on the club’s GRSP student and asked for assistance with bringing him to club meetings.
President-Elect Earl Stine reminded members about the Foundation Seminar taking place on August 21st in Columbus.
Past President Phil Medlin:
- Reminded members about the upcoming Marietta Business Association Expo which will be held at the Cobb Civic Center from 12-8 pm on September 1st. Volunteers are needed to staff a booth.
- Asked that if anyone has the graphics for the Marietta Metro artwork designed a couple years ago, could they please e-mail it to him.
- Talked about some changes to the club bulletin and website.
- Let the members know that the club is starting a Facebook page.
- Spoke about a new section in the newsletter that will be a spotlight on members including their photo and bio.
- Asked members to please keep Margaret Anne Rose, the wife of McKoy Rose, in your thoughts and prayers as she grieves the recent death of McKoy, one of Marietta Metro Rotary Club’s founding members.

Past President Phil Medlin gave sunshine for his son in-law Ben Lyman, owner of Willie Rae’s & Simpatico. Ben was recently featured in Georgia Trend magazine and is currently teaching a meal planning course at his restaurant through the First Presbyterian Church.
Members and guests enjoy the meeting.
An unknown member showed a little leg and was taken aback at the lack of dollar bills thrown his way!
Past President Bob Harper gave sunshine for a recent trip he and his wife Judy took to Panama. It was planned by his son Rob who owns a travel business in Panama.
