Versatility & Proven Performance

The Option™ELITE inferior vena cava filter protects against recurrent pulmonary embolism (PE). It can be retrieved or remain implanted depending on whether the patient needs short-term or long-term PE protection. With over six years of positive, consistent and proven clinical performance, the Option™ELITE filter has a unique anchoring system that makes retrievals easier. The Option™ELITE is now cleared for delivery using a standard or over-the-wire technique via jugular, femoral, antecubital, or popliteal access.

Indications

The Option™ELITE Inferior Vena Cava Filter is intended for the prevention of recurrent PE via placement in the vena cava in the following conditions:

• Pulmonary thromboembolism when anticoagulant therapy is contraindicated• Failure of anticoagulation therapy in thromboembolic diseases• Emergency treatment following massive PE when anticipated benefits of conventional therapy are reduced• Chronic, recurrent PE when anticoagulation therapy has failed or is contraindicated
