Health Fair Wellness PlanThe need for person to person interaction is very important. According to the Arkansas Literacy council “fourteen percent of Arkansans lack basic literacy skill. . . . Adults with low literacy skills often cannot effectively negotiate the health care system, read food or prescription drug labels, …” A Logical deduction can be made that printed material will not have a significant impact for these fourteen percent, therefore a mobile Health unit will be set up to preform a wellness evaluations to identify screening and educational opportunities. Where possible screening opportunities will be preformed. Whenever possible a local physician will be referred to preform an additional evaluation. Digital recording devices will be utilized to take advantage of the “Continuity of Care Documentation” to preform and track health improvement studies. In most cases we can set up the Health fair two hours before the game to provide time for set up and create more service opportunities.
