1. ABSTRACT
A wireless safety device for gas leakage detection is proposed. The device is intended for use in household safety where appliances and heaters that use natural gas and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) may be a source of risk. The system also can be used for other applications in the industry or plants that depend on LPG and natural gas in their operations. The system design consists of two main modules: the detection and transmission module, and the receiving module. The detection and transmitting module detects the change of gas concentration using a special sensing circuit built for this purpose. This module checks if a change in concentration of gas (es) has exceeded a certain pre-determined threshold. If the sensor detects a change in gas concentration, it activates and audiovisual alarm and sends a signal to the receiver module. The receiver module acts as a mobile alarm device to allow the mobility within the house premises. The system was tested using LPG and the alarm was activated as a result of change in concentration.
2. OBJECTIVES
The primary objects of the present project to provide a novel means for safely detecting any malfunction of a pressurized gas system in order to prevent accumulation of combustible gases so that damage or explosion due to such an accumulation of gases is prevented. Another object of the present invention is to provide a novel safety means for detecting the leakage of gas into the area of an appliance when the appliance is in a shutdown condition and not in operation. Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a novel gas detection and monitoring system which is economical to manufacture and which may be readily installed in conventional trailers, boats or the like which are normally dependent upon a stored supply of pressurized gas. Typical installation areas being gas yards (Bullets), gas banks with multi cylinders in manifold, user production departments / utility areas like kitchens.

4. METHODOLOGY:
The transmitter will have the Gas sensor, when the gas is detected the it gives
the signal to the ARM , then the ARM will send the information to another
receiving station through Xbee which is in Police station or security office .
At the same time ARM will generate the out put that is fed to buffer IC 4050 ,
buffer stores and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies
and voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to
drive the relay . Then signal is given to the output load for indication purpose
5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:
ADVANTAGES:
1.Used in house as a LPG gas detector
2.It also detect alcohol so it is used as liquor tester.
3.The sensor has excellent sensitivity combined with a quick response time
DISADVANTAGES:
1.It is little sensitive to smoke then it is not perfectly reponse for LPG gas
detection.
2.Its sensitivity depends on Humidity and temperature.
6.APPLICATIONS:
1.Fire/Safety detection system2.Gas leak alarm3.Gas detector
7. CONCLUSION:
In this work we have proposed an efficient autonomous system for standoff explosive detection poisonous gas. While comparing with traditional systems have lot of advantages. The main advantages are its miniature size, low power consumption, distributed operation, and easy implementation.
