1. Documentation and registration:i. Mobile phones: - all jumpers must carry a mobile on jumps and this number

must be recorded on the registration list. They must have the DZ number programmed in to their phone in case of landing out: +44 (0)1980 628250

ii. All rigs must have an AAD.

b. International Competitorsi. Visitors from EU Countries need:

1. FAI2. APA Temporary Membership (free for competitors for duration of event)3. Evidence of membership of their own Country’s BPA equivalent

insurance (€1.3m minimum)4. Medical requirements: “A parachutist from a foreign country may

parachute at a BPA PTO if he/she fulfils the medical requirements of that parachutist’s own country”

ii. Visitors from outside EU Countries need:1. FAI2. APA Temporary Membership (free for competitors for duration of event)3. Temporary BPA insurance forms completed 4. Medical requirements: “A parachutist from a foreign country may

2. Meet Director Brief – Mark Bayada

i. Rules are as per FAI Wingsuit Flying – Competition Rules 2016 Edition: http://www.fai.org/ipc-documents also available on the Netheravon.com website.

ii. Immediately following the brief you will be allocated a Flysight which will be yours for the entire competition. Klaus Rheinwald will give a judging brief following Meet Director brief.

iii. All jumpers will be pre-manifested, all on same lift, same groups but rotate order of passes

iv. All lifts notified of when they will be jumping by use of the screensv. Competitors need to go to flight-line by 15 min call ready to be checked by the

flight-line checker and judge. Everyone must get a check and signed off.vi. All competitors will show a judge Flysights are confirmed on. The judges will

have a spare for any issues.

i. There will be a jumpmaster on each load who will manage the loading, checking Flysights and exits. Nominal exit altitude 12-12,500ft (3658-3810mtrs). Spare Flysights and goggles will be carried in the aircraft.

ii. All jumpers are reminded to exit safely and clear the tail. The pilots will be trying to maintain a level attitude which might result in slightly faster exit speed.

iii. Flight patterns, direction and distance will be explained on the day (weather dependent). An example map with lanes is included in the pack. See the aerial photo for the run-in for the day.

iv. Competition lanes must be adhered to.v. Opening heights will be 4,000ft (1220 mtrs) , absolutely no turning whilst in

freefall, stay in lane. vi. Land safely anywhere on DZ or north field if necessary.

vii. No mandatory landing pattern during the competition, jumpers should clear hazards and other jumpers.

viii. Landing off – do not climb fences (beware of livestock). Report any damage of fences to DZ staff immediately. Staff will pick up any jumpers landing off but please ensure you carry your mobile phone.

ix. Malfunctions –try and land on the landing area, call the DZ if you land anywhere else.

x. Staff will book competitors in when they land / get back to the DZ.

An example jump run over the airfield is shown below. Updated flight plans according to the day’s weather conditions will be posted on the noticeboard next to hangar reception.

3. Judging Brief – Klaus Rheinwald

Flysight process

1. Report to Judges with your suit and helmet for suit check-in and marking and Flysight mounting.

2. Early morning satellite lock attained by judging team3. Pick up Helmet on your 20 min call from the Judges room before walking

to the Boarding Area4. A Judge will ensure Flysight has lock prior to boarding the aircraft5. Jumpmaster will ensure lock is maintained in aircraft prior to exit6. Leave Flysight switched on until after landing7. Judge will meet competitors after landing to check Flysight still has lock

prior to switching off8. Competitors will pass helmet immediately to the judging team in the

hangar for processing live scoring9. Helmet with Flysight will be kept inside the judging room. FlySights will

be recharged by judges.

4. Schedule for the week

We will be aiming for wheels off at 08:30-09:00 daily unless the weather conditions dictate otherwise. If we need to come in early we will make sure all competitors are notified the previous day. 07:00 is the earliest time we will start (if absolutely necessary).

All updated competition information will be posted on the noticeboard next to Hangar Reception.

Friday 27th May 08:30 DZ open for performance training jumps

Registration closes by 09:00 on Friday for acro competitors wishing to compete in both and 12:00 for performance and all other acro teams.

Acro draw will take place at 10:00 on Friday morning. Acro rounds can commence on Friday afternoon.

Competitor briefing will take place at 12:00 for acro and repeated at 18:00 for performance and acrobatics.

Note: Performance rounds will be prioritised for competitors doing both events but Acro-only competitors will run in parallel.

Saturday 28th May All Competition rounds will commence first thing on Saturday morning. The start time will be announced on Friday evening at the competitor briefing as weather will dictate whether an early start is needed.

Sunday 29th May Start time will be announced on Saturday.Monday 30th May Start time will be announced on Sunday. Prizegiving on Monday
