Are you needing some support to help you secure employment and a career that’s right for you? Skills Development Scotland (SDS) are holding monthly events in Inverurie. Aimed at 16-26 year olds, it’s a great opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge which are vital in the workplace.

Shell UK are attending NESCol's College & Employer Open Evening at Fraserburgh Campus on Tuesday, 20th March 2018 and is on the lookout for 14 talented engineers to join the 2018-2020 Shell Engineering Scheme (SES). This is a prestigious fast-track course, designed by Shell in conjunction with NESCol to meet the up and coming needs of the energy industry. If you would like to find out more come along to our Employer Open Evening at Fraserburgh Campus for an informal chat and we can talk you through the next steps. The event will run from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

Employment & Skills Event – 23 rd March 2018 Stonehaven Bowling Club 10am – 4pm
This event is being organised by a partnership comprised of Skills Development Scotland, Aberdeenshire Council, Aberdeen Foyer and the Department of Work and Pensions, NESCOL, Barnardo’s.
Businesses and organisations from across the North East will be present at the event and you will have the chance to find out about local vacancies and meet employers.
On hand will also be some organisations that can provide free, impartial advice on jobseeking, considering your options, writing CVs, preparing for interviews, money advice and identifying learning and training opportunities.
During the event a range of workshops will be delivered covering the following areas:

The Prince's Trust Team | Aberdeen Foyer
The Prince’s Trust Team is a unique development opportunity for young people aged between 16 and 25, enabling them to develop their confidence, motivation and skills through a programme of individual challenges and teamwork in the community. We bring together people of different abilities, circumstances and backgrounds. We support team members to develop their core skills, build confidence and gain nationally recognised qualifications.
The programme has 4 key stages: Induction and residential team building Community projects Team challenge Final review and presentation
Participants work in teams of up to 15 over a 12 week period. Young people completing the programme develop a variety of core and practical skills such as communication, problem solving and working with others.
