We thank our Lord for allowing us to be such a pleasant memory of so many of our faithful and loyal customers and friends during the 53 years the Bauer Clan proudly served you. We also thank Mike and Denise Gardner for 10 years (2001-2011) of continuing on the Bauer’s Market tradition that Alec and Mary Bauer started in August 1948 with the open front fruit, vegetable and grocery store at the same location the curret building is located. While raising a family of seven children, 6 daughters and 1 son (Pam and Gary Serrato, Jacky and Rick Myers, Kelly and Larry Lynch, Sherry and Todd Carey, Mary and Justin Stone, Mark Bauer and Michele and Derry White) we continued working with my father and mother for the next 43 years with the help of our seven children and the many grandchildren that appeared on the scene. We praise God for them. We also wish to remember the Hermie and Babe Schott family, their 3 daughters -Robbie, Toni and Vicky - for their help as devoted employees of Bauer’s during their time with us. Hermi and Babe are now deceased. A special thanks to long time friend Barb McKay for the wonderful farewell surprise party at the Market on July 4, 2001.
