Paper size/Plot Scale & Viewpoints.

If the paper space looks wrong then…

• Firstly check the paper size by right clicking on the layout tab and going to page setup manager.

• If the paper size is correct & we know the view port window is also scaled correctly – the only other possibility is that the plot scale is wrong…

The plot scale is the relationship between the view port windows and the sheet of paper To change this we go to modify button within the page setup manager Check the scale plot size is 1:1 in mm

Array Tool

Rectangular array is columns rows and grids.

Then Rectangular The next step is to change the details in the columns, rows and between boxes. This is depending on how many you want of each.

You change the details here. However you have

to change the vertical lines from the horizontal lines

separately.

Wipe out

WI You can type wi then you can pick an option from the list wipe-out hides a selection of an area, its similar to the trim tool enabling you to keep data underneath and then edit it after.

Choose wipe out then draw the outline where you wish to cut out. The computer recognises rectangles as polylines. So if you’ve drawn a polyline or rectangle you can choose the object rather than tracing it. Keep or discard the original.

Divide Tool

DIV Cuts objects into segments- so you can place lines in-between the line (circle and a cross)

To do the polar tool select all objects you want to include to rotate then

click a base point where you want to rotate it, then click how many

times you want the shape to repeat.
