Our Behavior Chart

Take-Home Folders

• Folders are sent home on a daily basis. Please be sure to look at your child’s folder every day. This is where you will find their daily work, behavior log, and any other important papers I have for you to look over.

I will also send home a weekly newsletter every Monday so that you can follow along with what your child is doing in our class.

Kindergarten Connection (Homework)

• Starting next week, you will receive a homework folder on Monday with all of the week’s homework in it. Homework is due on Friday. Please take your time and divide homework to a few days during the week. There is no need to overload them on Monday night, and it is better to get a small review over a period of time.

Tests

• Tests will be given on Friday each week. These tests monitor your child’s progress so that I can see where he/she stands and if we are moving forward the way we need to be.

• Tests folders will be sent home the following week for you to review and sign. I MUST get these tests back. You will get all tests back at the end of the year.

Center Time

• Students with rotate daily to various literacy centers.

Star Student

Each week, one child is selected to be star student! This comes with all sorts of fun duties, including being line leader and bringing a special item from home for show and tell that week!

Encourage your child!!

• Encourage your child daily to talk about the different things he/she did at school. Talk positively about school! The way your child perceives your feelings about our school and teachers will directly affect his/her feelings towards us!
