Arrowhead Union High School District

Annual Meeting2015

Mission...is to provide a comprehensive public education that challenges individuals to reach their full potential. Students, school, parents, and community share the responsibility to provide an ‘Arrowhead Experience’ that will enable students to become responsible adults who can succeed in the future. With students as the focus of all that we do, we are committed to establishing and achieving high expectations with measurable goals that promote excellence.

To achieve that mission...•We value people, learning and excellence.

•We enjoy a partnership with an engaged community that realizes the importance of learning within a high quality education.

•We offer this excellent public education in a fiscally responsible manner.

3

Fiscal Responsibility •Over the last eight years, the district has reduced its

budget by over $5 million. •Employee benefit changes since 2011-12 have resulted

in an annual cost savings of nearly $2 million.•Arrowhead maintains a Moody’s rating better than

approximately 90% of the school districts in Wisconsin.•Fund balance, while healthy at 25+%, has been used

for recent improvement expenses. •Despite increasing operational costs, our per pupil

expense remains just below the state average.4

State Report Card 2013-2014

ACT Aspire Exams 2015• New assessment of 9th and 10th graders• Test of ACT/College Readiness• Like the ACT data, Aspire scores remain confidential

at this time while WI DPI does its extensive data accuracy-checking before releasing to the public

• Data will be more meaningful when we have multiple years for trend analysis and when other districts’ data is public

• We anticipate Arrowhead scores will be at or above the established ACT predictor benchmarks.
