+ Are our personal experiences
relevant to students?
I like to share about my time living in Hong Kong during Primary school.
+ The Swamp Buffalo were owned by the village collectively.
They were no longer being used in farming so they roamed
free.
+ Traditional
Attitudes Land was not sold. It was
owned by elders who
passed it on to their sons.
This is Mr. and Mrs. Dung.
They were our Landlords.
Their children live in the UK.
They choose to live in a two
bedroom traditional house in
the village near their friends
after trying to live in an
apartment.

Pictorial Decorative Maps
Cartography is the art of map making. People who make maps are called
cartographers. The task is to create an old-fashioned treasure map style.
These are drawn from an oblique angle. An oblique map is, ʻneither parallel
nor at right angles to a specified or implied line; slanting.ʼ – Google Definition.
This type of map was made famous by Erwin Raisz. These
maps are decorative and not realistic. Images are not drawn to
scale and simply represent rather than accurately portray
features. For example an image of six trees will represent that
there is a forest in that area.
