EXPLANATION OF DIGITAL APPROPIATION

O In the digital appopiation we can see an art piece from Hannah Hoch named “Grotesco”.

O We can see the elements from europe and Colombia such as colombian flag, and elements that represent this country. Also we see colombian elements in the letters that say dada with the colors of colombian flag (yellow, blue and red).

TIME LINE

HISTORY FROM DADAO Dada is an artistic movement that appear after

the World War I in Zurich, Switzerland. It was a movement that proclaimed itself to not be a movement. It produce visual art and literature. Also it is an inspiration to postmodernism and contemporary art.

O I choose this vanguard because is the one that i like the most between the eight modern artistic movement. Also I really like the art pieces from Hannah Hoch such as his work Grotesco.

Hanna HochO Was a German dada artist, born in November 1 of 1889

and she died in May 31 of 1978.O From 1912 to 1914 she studied at “The college of Arts

and Crafts in Berlin under the guidance of Harold Bergen. She chose the curriculum glass design and graphic arts, rather than fine arts, to please her father”.

O In 1914 she left the school to work and help in the Red Cross, during the World war I.

O In 1915 she returned to school.O From 1926 to 1929 she lived and worked the

Netherlands.O Hoch was recognized as one of the originations of the

photomontage.

GROTESCO AND OTHER ART PIECES

O Hoch had made a lot of works such as “Cut with the Kitchen Knife Through the First Epoch of the Weimar Beer-Belly Culture”, “Beautiful Girl” and my favourite piece from Hoch is “Grotesco” because this work shows the dada and I like this work a lot because it have a lot of colors and its funny how a body is represented in that way.

BERNARDO SALCEDOO Is a Colombian painter and sculptor.

I choose him because in colombian are few dadaist artist or artist that make dada pieces. One of his dada pieces is called “Sinsentido logico”. He was born in 1939 and his dead was in 2007.

REFLECTIONO At the start of the bimester I had

some difficulties with the works of social studies-art so I start bad in this quarter. Anyways I start working with a good performance was too late to pass the subject, anyways my performance at the end of the quarter was great.
