Marin Beaux Arts 70 Avenue Gabriel Péri, B.P. 51 94115 Arcueil The Maison Marin has been making supplies for painters since 1947 and continues to provide a wide range of supplies to this day. Boesner 40 Ave Général de Gaulle, 94500 Champigny sur Marne A giant warehouse of art supplies outside of Paris, with free delivery once you hit a certain amount. -- Marché Saint Pierre 2 rue Charles Nodier, 18th Nestled at the foot of Sacré-Coeur is Paris’ largest fabric store. It is comprised of 3 buildings which are divided up along the street: next to Reine Fabrics is the bargain basement (we found 3 yards of soft wool there for €15); across the street is the 5-story building where you can buy every type of fabric: leather, sequin, upholstery, silk, etc; and continuing down the street, you stumble upon the last building for trim and yarn, with a basement full of fabric paint plus other crafty odds & ends. Moline-Mercerie 2,4,6 rue de Livingstone, 18th This hip trim, yarn, and fabric store has been around since 1879. Friendly staff, a wall of buttons, and unusual trim organized by color. You can also find thread, crochet/knitting supplies, zippers, and even bra cups and straps to sew into flimsy strapless summer tops.
