  • Pumps

ALC offers a comprehensive range of pumps from a floater pump, compression pump, abrasion handling and gas handing. Within the following pump section, we present our more common pump configuration in the product tables specifically:

Standard Floater Pump A center tandem, carbon steel pump of floater design with tungsten carbide bearings in the pump head and base for radial stability.

Standard Compression Pump A center tandem, carbon steel pump of compression design with tungsten carbide bearings in the pump head and base for radial stability.

Abrasion Resistant Compression Pump A center tandem, carbon steel pump of compression design with tungsten carbide bearings not only in the pump head and base, but also evenly spaced along the entire pump housing within the pump stages for enhanced radial stability.

ALC pumps can be configured and built in numerous ways to address the downhole operating conditions.

Available options: Floater and Compression pump Carbon steel and stainless steel head, base, housings with carbon steel and monel fasteners Tungsten carbide head, base and stages for abrasion handling HNBR and Aflas elastomers Monel and Inconel shaft Boronise internal coating All the pumps have ALCs published pump curves that show the characteristics of a single pump stage when tested according to API recommended practice 11S2.

  • Intakes and Gas Handling ALC offers several intake configurations to provide operators the flexibility to customize ESP systems to specific conditions. Depending on well conditions, it can be in the form of a simpler intake adapter with inlet holes or a more complex gas separation device.

Intake A standard intake can be used when the well is producing above the fluid bubble point pressure or if a small amount of free gas is being produced.

Gas Separator The gas separator is based on the principle of the separation of particles of different densities under the action of centrifugal forces. In this design, a rotating field of centrifugal force is created. The separated gas is vented to the annulus while the remaining fluid enters the pump.

ALC can provide the following gas separation devices:

338 Series Rotary Gas Separator 380/400 Series Rotary Gas Separator 380/400 Series Vortex Gas Separator

These separators are available in multiple options and materials. They can be installed as single sections or for extreme conditions, upper separators are available that can be installed in tandem above a single section separator.

  • Motor Seals

The ALC advanced motor seals incorporate state-of-the-art technology, materials and operational excellence for premium motor protection to extend run life for the most demanding applications.

The motor seal is a configurable design with bag and labyrinth chamber selections available in 2 or 3 chamber configurations. The seal can be assembled in multiple configurations to best fit the well conditions.

All ALC advanced motor seals come equipped with a specially-designed, high-load, bi-directional thrust bearing that facilitates high horsepower and deep-set applications.

Standard configurations: Carbon steel constructions Type2 mechanical seal with silicone-carbide seats and monel trim HNBR elastomers Available options Stainless steel head, base, seal bodies and housings Monel trim Aflas elastomers

    Power cable

ALC power cable provides a comprehensive range of surface and downhole cables for low temperature, benign well conditions to high temperature, high GOR applications.

The power cable is available in an assortment of temperature ratings and configurations. The power cables are provided in both round and flat profiles, while the motor lead extension (MLE) only comes in a flat profile. All are available in either 4kV or 5kV voltage rating.

  • Downhole Sensors

ALC system is fully compatible with any industry standard downhole sensors.

    Surface Power and Control

ALC has a wide range of surface power and control equipment which includes ALC intelligent motor controller and variable frequency drives (VFD). ALC surface electrical equipment is designed and manufactured taking into consideration system reliability, system automation and system transportability.

The system is offered with a variety of accessories that are individually tailored to adapt the standard system or to the specific needs of an application such as sinewave filters, cold weather heating, Bristol chart recorders, external lightings, backspin detection and downhole tool integration.

The equipment is supplied in individual units or in a fit-for-purpose skid system. ALCs Nema 3R/4 control room skid systems are manufactured for:

Desert -10C to +60C, Dry environment with blowing sand Jungle -10C to +60C, 100% Condensing humidity, heavy rain and flooding Offshore -10C to +50C, Extreme moisture, corrosive environment Arctic -40C to +40C, Extreme cold, heavy snow and rain Open -40C to +60C, All environments

  • Rigless ESP

ALCs RIGLESS ESP system enables equipment to be deployed in sub-assemblies using

    standard slickline services allowing;

    Live well deployment / retrieval

Pumps can be deployed and retrieved seperately

Compact lengths and weights for ease of handling

GGreater ability to pass through severly deviated wells
