Artist Led Workshops dot-art Schools works with a wide range of artists to offer your school one-day artist-led workshops in a variety of different techniques, media and subjects. All our workshops are delivered by experienced artists with full DBS clearance and public liability insurance, and can be tailored to meet your specific requirements. Find out more about our artist workshop leaders: Artist David Andrews Workshop Street Art Isn’t Graffiti Details David Andrews is a street artist based in Liverpool who works only on legal projects including spray painting on wooden boards and commissioned murals on walls. In this workshop, David will teach pupils how to control a spray paint can, how to make stencils and how to paint with them effectively. As artists are restricted to using one or two colours per layer, the skills in this workshop are easily transferable to pupils who will be working with single colour printing techniques such as lino cutting and screen printing in their final major projects. Age Range Secondary Materials Provided by artist: 1 x can of spray paint per pupil (each can will be a different colour so students can share and work together to build their palette), craft knives for stencil cutting, protective gloves and masks. Provided by school: Outside space, materials to paint on such as wood or canvas, cutting mats and cardboard/thick paper if possible Cost £250 + £4 per student for materials
