TheProblem TheSolution
Over the years asbestos cement roofs deterioratethrough
weathering. The surface layer of
cementdecays,exposingtheunderlyingasbestosfibrestotheenvironment
through an ongoing process of
erosion.Asaresult,theasbestoscementthins,becomesbrittleand the
structural stability of the roof is greatlyreduced. Thematerial
becomes dark, increasing theinternal temperature of the roof cavity
