1 THE CHÂTELARD FUNICULARDeparture point of your adventure, two new panoramic
carriages take you on an amazing vertical trip. During the ascent the view opens onto an increasingly grandiose alpine landscape, until you arrive at Montuires station, 700 m higher.
2 THE PANoRAMIC TRAINOn a track winding up a mountainside, the train takes you
through forests and tunnels to the foot of Emosson Dam.The panoramic train offers magnificent views of the entire Mont-Blanc massif while overlooking the deep Bouqui canyon.
3 THE MINIFUNICThe third of these amazing systems is a railtrack
that takes you to the open Emosson heights overlooking the lake.

THE HUT AT VIEUX-EMOSSONJust an hour’s walk from the arrival station of the mini-funicular is the Vieux-Emosson Hut. Perched on the rocks, its terrace over-looks the Emosson lake. Stop for refreshments, before conti-nuing to the famous dinosaur footprints archeological site. + info : www.cabaneduvieux.ch
EMOSSON SqUARELocated directly on the main square overlooking the lake, an information desk and souvenir shop are open every day to guide you around.
A few meters away, visit the chapel of La Gueulaz, dedicated to Notre-Dames-des-Neiges, built in 1976 to replace the former Barberine Chapel which had been flooded by the building of Emosson Dam.
