ASDR Autonomous Stuckand Down Ware Reject System

Safe rejection guaranteedThe ASDR hot-end distributor box forms the heart of an autonomous hot-end reject system,

which detects and rejects damaged or broken containers as well as containers that have fallen

over or stuck together.

The optional machine control system allows faulty containers to be rejected either manually

by pressing a key on the section or automatically, e.g. after lubrication. In addition, the reject

signal from an IS machine control can be corrected and the container reject precision optimised.

The ASDR counts the number of containers produced and rejected for statistical purposes.

It is suitable for retrofi tting to almost any production line. The structure and design refl ect the

harsh conditions prevailing in the IS machine‘s environment.

Technical data• Dimensions: 300 x 100 x 180 mm

• Weight: 5 kg

• Degree of protection: IP50

• Power supply: 24 VDC ± 10 % or 19.5 VAC ± 10 %

optionally with transformer: 115 VAC / 230 VAC

• Power consumption: max. 33 W

• Valve driver outputs: max. 15 VA

• Ambient conditions: 0 to 60 °C, max. 80 % relative humidity

• Connectivity: Up to 8 ASDRs can be connected together

in a network with the aid of an active current loop

(ESD bulkheads, power source). Only in conjunction

with a PC.

• Measurement accuracy: minimum measurement object 3 ms ± 0.5 ms

maximum measurement object 60 s ± 0.5 ms

• Battery backup: If the power supply is interrupted, all data is stored

in a non-volatile memory and can be accessed again

the next time the unit is switched on.

Reasons for rejection• objects are smaller or larger than

a freely selectable diameter

• objects are stuck together

• objects are too close together

• objects have fallen over

• objects are broken (cullet, fragments)

Benefi ts• quick and easy to install

• very small footprint

• suitable as a standalone control system

• reject correction simply requires a reject

signal from the IS control

• compatible with all IS control systems

Additional functions• number of objects produced and rejected

counted for statistical purposes

• up to 8 ASDRs can be connected together

in a network

• statistical evaluation and remote control

on a central PC

Light barrier

Many different light

barrier types can be

connected.

Cullet chute

Can be mounted at any

point on the conveyor

(max distance from light

barrier = 10 m).

Reject nozzle

Broken or out-of-tolerance

containers and containers

that have fallen over or

stuck together are rejected

here.

Control unit

Rugged industrial design with control

and display elements.

Used to activate „Teach mode“.

No further calibration required.
