Together—Renewing our commitment to God and our community.

Thank you all for the very warm welcome you all extended upon my return after a month long holidays in India. The warmth of your love gives me the energy to move on with the demand-ing tasks that lie ahead. I had a wonderful time in India. The weather was very moderate. I spend most of the time with my family. Since both my parents are gone, I stayed with my older brother and his family. I did visit some of the communities of my Religious Order and it was great to “connect” with fellow brothers after a long time. The most challenging part of the vacation is to say the goodbyes at the airport. It is always hard to leave family and loved ones behind. But it is the result of a choice that I made almost twenty-seven years ago, and though it hurts, it is easily overcome. Plenty of things got done in the parish in my absence – we replaced the water heater, put new carpeting in the youth room and the hallway, the construction of the new website for the parish is underway. All these were made possible because of the dedication of the trustees, our Deacon, the parish council and the office staff, the number of volunteers and each and every one of you. Thank you all. Stations of the Cross

Meditating on the Way of the Cross has a twofold purpose. The first is that they may enkindle in souls a flaming love for the Crucified Christ who, through His passion

and death, revealed to us that it is only through the Cross that we are ever ushered into glory and eter-nal life. The second purpose is that those who med-itate on the great love of Our Lord for sinners will be kind enough to say a prayer for all souls who are suffering persecution.
