1 Introduction

This document describes the dissemination material employed and activities carried out within the project since August 2013 – after deliverable D6.2.2 "Dissemination Plan: Update" was submitted and also presents the activities targeted in the forthcoming months.

2 Dissemination activities performed

This section reports the dissemination activities performed since the previous version of the deliverable.

2.1 The SAVAS website

The first version of the SAVAS website was designed and released in setup in August 2012 (M3), partially revisited and redesigned in January 2013 (M6), improving its content and modifying its layout, in order to increase its visibility using SEO techniques.

Along the project lifetime its contents have been regularly updated, especially in the "News" and in the "Resource Center" sections. The "News" section has been frequently updated with about 20 news, each of which was also emailed to a number of stakeholders that we collected. The "Resource Center" section has also been updated, with a description of the updates to the systems, with project showcases, in the form of sample demo videos of the systems, and with the main scientific and industrial publications.

Now, the new website has a good ranking, and it is better at reaching the SAVAS target audience. As shown in Figure 1, users googling for “subtitling ASR” can easily find the project website as the 2nd and 3rd options, and the SAVAS-related website or publications are 5 of the first 10 results.

2.2 The SAVAS META-SHARE Repository

The development of the infrastructure to support the SAVAS repository has been carried out, and the final SAVAS META-SHARE node is available at the URL:

http://metashare.synthema.it:8000/

In the end, 25 language resources from those identified in deliverable D3.3.2, “SAVAS legal and licensing agreements: Update” have been collected, meta-annotated and shared after IPR negotiations. They are now at disposal of the R&D and industrial community. Figure 3 presents a table with the final shared resources.

Figure 3. The SAVAS META-SHARE resources

Screenshots of the final SAVAS META-SHARE site are presented in Figure 4. The META-SHARE repository offers, for each shared SAVAS resource:

● search and browsing through metadata;

● visualisation of details and description;

● IPR and license information

2.4 Dissemination material

The dissemination material employed within the SAVAS project includes a flyer (of which two versions have been designed) and a poster, created for general-purpose dissemination. Both flyer and poster have been made available as downloads from the SAVAS website.

In addition, a shell scheme with the project identity has also been designed and employed as a basis for decorating the SAVAS stands in the different exhibitions and fairs we have attended.

2.5 Events and conferences

Table 1 summarizes the presentations made by the SAVAS partners at different exhibitions, conferences and workshops.

In the following sections we highlight the results of the main events attended by the partners since August 2013 – after deliverable D6.2.2 "Dissemination Plan: Update" was submitted.

2.5.1 IBC 2013

After the success of the previous year, where the SAVAS booth and demo session at IBC 2012 managed to attract a large amount of stakeholders interested in the SAVAS applications, SYNTHEMA and VOICEINTERACTION organised the SAVAS participation at IBC 2013, again with an exhibition booth and a presentation.

The SAVAS booth was hosted in the stand 181 in Hall 14 at IBC's Connected World. The booth was served by SAVAS researchers from VOICEINTERACTION, SYNTHEMA and VICOMTECH, who gave talks and presentations about the project and first-hand demonstrations of all the product innovations and more.

As in the previous edition, many interested stakeholders visited the booth and a considerable number of contacts with potential future customers was established.

2.5.1.1 The 2nd End-User Panel Workshop

The 2nd End-User Workshop was linked to the IBC2013 Exhibition in Amsterdam. Like the 1st workshop, it was successful and useful. We collected 16 people from 12 different parties, with about 70% of confirmed participants.

An overview of the project and beta versions of the S.Live!, S.Scribe! and S.Respeak! applications were presented. In addition, panellists provided feedback, recommendations and their interest in the different applications. The last part of the workshop was devoted to face-to-face meetings where specific needs and potential collaborations for integration, evaluation and exploitation were discussed.

For a more detailed description of the workshop and of its main outcomes, please refer to deliverable D6.6 "Workshop 2".
