Having been a student at a Military School (Sainik School Kazhakootam), I have been an active athlete and sportsperson, having competed at national level events. My achievements include winning several inter school, state and national level medals in athletics. Sports have taught me the importance of team work and leadership in achieving group objectives. I have also been in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) achieving an A certificate. My life at Sainik School inculcated a healthy respect for both academics and sports and I have a wide range of dependable friends earned as a result of my hobbies and positive attitude inculcated in those early days. I was also a prefect at school, where I had the task of leading my House members. As a Cadet and Sportsman, I have understood the importance of discipline and punctuality in my life, which I have translated to my work career.

My work experience at Kerala Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (affiliated to FICCI) provided me an introduction to the corporate world. I worked as Media Manager there and I had the opportunity to interact with doyens in the corporate world and several leading foreign diplomats. Listening to them share their experiences motivated me to take up management. These experiences also taught me the importance of business in our current world economy.

I am a highly adaptable person and I have worked in different cities from Trivandrum, Cochin, Bangalore, New Delhi and different fields including Public Relations, Journalism. Content writing and Event Management. I am an excellent communicator and am evident from the fact that I have secured B grade for Business English Certificate conducted by the University of Cambridge. I have displayed my liaisoning skills at chamber of commerce by successfully negotiating with the journalists and ensuring that I got press coverage’s for all the events there. I believe all these qualities are essential for a manager.

I am from a family of doctors. My father, mother and sister practice Ayurveda. We have an Ayurvedic Clinic at my hometown and I have plans of diversifying into branding & marketing of medicines, setting up a fully fledged ayurvedic hospital which will have treatment for diverse ailments; all under one roof, popularizing ayurveda, taking it to the masses and exports.

I graduated in Mass Communication and I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations. My specialization and work experience is in the field of Public Relations which is an integral element of Management. I look to acquire managerial competencies, technical skills, and knowledge about diverse courses and electives on offer, case studies, simulations, projects, internship and interaction with people from the industry. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish my ambitions at SDMIMD. I Love travelling and have travelled across India and Nepal.
