General Job duties:

Is Responsible For Ensuring the Company Safety and Environmental Standards And

Policies Are Maintained For Head office, Zaafarana & Gemsa Field Facilities Including

The FPSO, Platform, Field Boats And Contractor Companies

Provide Support, Advisory Inspections, Keeping Records, Preparing Reports, On-Site

Supervision And Training.

For The FPSO Marine Side, Monitoring The Work Carried Out By Contractor

(Prosafe Co. – Aker Co.) On A Routine Basis through Meetings and Discussions

With The Master & Chief Officer Also By Reviewing Of Prosafe & Aker Regular

Safety Inspection Reports.

Main Challenges* To reduce lost time injuries to zero, so as to improve plant safety records and employee health standards.

Specific Job Duties:

1. To ensure the Company Safety Manual is available to all affected personnel and the policies and procedures contained therein are followed at all times

2. To ensure the requirements and recommendations of regulatory bodies are followed in accordance with Company policy and procedures

3. To assess risks on site and make recommendations to responsible personnel to ensure all risks are managed or eliminated

4. To operate the company hazardous job permit system according to company safety Procedures.5. To promote safe working practices and safety consciousness among safety team members, project

personnel and subcontractors including delivering training courses as required6. To prepare materials for site safety inductions to ensure that every employee is informed and

trained to perform their job in a productive and safe manner7. To prepare reports on incidents with recommendations for resolutions.8. To implement accident prevention programs to ensure LTI's are minimised and contribute to the

preparation of the HSE plan9. To conduct accident and incident investigations in accordance with Company policies and

procedures10. Encourage the reporting of near misses& unsafe conditions using the company Performa.11. To supervise, coordinate and monitor the plant HSEMS program and provides specialist advice

and assistance on safety aspects to plant departments.12. To conduct site safety inspections and audits, Job hazard analysis, job safety analysis and risk

analysis on a regular basis13. Prepare Risk assessment for all FPSO and operation Activities.14. Follow up the new fabrication of Helideck project in Gemsa Platform.15. Prepare environmental record (Environment Impact Assessment).16. To supervise and manage junior safety officers and safety engineers on site17. Attend and participate actively in the weekly and monthly safety meetings.18. Control the issuance of the PPE in accordance with company policy.19. To carry out safety inspection tours for all areas identifies potential hazards & Recommended solutions.20. To develop and conduct safety training programs for all employees aimed to promote accident

prevention among personnel.21. To participate in incident control duties during major accident emergencies or drills.22. To investigate all incidents/near misses and prepare an independent assessment of cause, results

and measures to be taken to avoid future occurrences.23. To prepare regular reports on incidents and statistical summaries of resulting losses.24. To ensure implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs, through use

of Personal Development Plans.

25. To undertake evaluation of new and existing safety equipment to ensure it meets accepted international and Company standards

26. Identify and communicate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and train the employees to ensure that the PPE requirements are properly implemented and enforced.

27. To conduct training courses in the use and operation of PPE.28. To review designs of new projects and plant modifications, to ensure that all safety requirements

are included and provide recommendations accordingly.29. Keep complete inventory on MSDS and distribute copies to working locations.30. Carry out safety & environment training and awareness for the crew.31. Act as a combating team leader for oil spill& control the operation of oil spill equipment.32. To enforce the implementation of Company Health, Safety and Environment Management

System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all division and department personnel.

33. To carry out weekly check and monthly inspection of the fire, safety, environment and life saving equipment on platform and company facilities on FPSO.

34. To control the provision of a safe and hygienic work environment for all company and contractors’ employees.

35. Provides safety & health information/expertise to the site team.36. To maintain the adequate number of the field safety and atmospheric measuring equipment in a

good working conditions and calibrated.37. To carry a monthly safety inspection on field supply vessels and to ensure they are aware of the

company safety policy and standard to keep records of these inspection.38. Monitors contractor construction safety programs and safe work practices.39. Reviews and evaluates contractor safety information.40. To assist company operating and maintenance personnel in the maintenance of all PPE, life

saving equipment, fire fighting equipment and pollution control equipment.41. Participate effectively in the geography committee meetings of North Gulf Of Suez.42. Participate in the actual major exercise oil spill drill concerning all petroleum companies.43. Produce deliverables as required by scope of work that meet clients Quality & HSE Requirements.44. To participate in the development of safety procedures and safety training programs and in Safety audits.45. Internal audit team on other Gemsa oil field, FPSO and Cairo main Office.46. Participate as audit member on oil companies of the north of Gulf of Suez.47. Follow up all safety precaution during FPSO Tank steel repair.48. 49. Reviewing and investigating environmental incidents such as spills and permit non-compliances,

including working with operations to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.50. Obtaining necessary environmental operating permits.51. Maintaining systems and compliance processes to assure compliance with governmental

regulations and Group standards covering all media (air, water and waste).52. Head of technical committee or member of committee for company safety tender.53. Member in Company HAZOP Team.
