Outline of the demonstration project
Development of an online medical platform
based on personal health records in Malaysia
amid the COVID-19 epidemic
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
In Malaysia, although the ban on online
medical treatment was lifted due to the
COVID-19 outbreak, the development of an
online medical care system with adequate
functions such as disease management through
data collaboration and security system for
handling medical information has been slow.
By developing an online medical platform
utilizing smartphones, we aim at enabling
remote cooperation between physicians,
improve the quality of online medical care,
prevent severe conditions, and foster patient
peace of mind, thereby improving satisfaction
with hospitals.

Outline of the demonstration project
Development of a service with disease risk

Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
Medical data sharing is an essential topic for the
Thai government. However, information about
health conditions (such as accumulating medical
examination data) or disease history of
individuals is not managed properly.
Plan to support the local hospitals group in
leveraging medical data and develop a Thai
version of Risk Simulator that could forecast the
onset risk of non-communicable diseases.
We aim to optimize medical expenses and realize
healthy society in Thailand through the provision
of our service to stakeholders such as life

Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
Demand for health management and medical
checkups will increase in Laos, reflecting a rising
awareness of health mainly among the wealthy
population. Also, the impact of COVID-19 has
amplified the importance of collecting accurate
health information of individuals and increased
the need for the post-COVID-19 measures using
past health information for health maintenance

Outline of the demonstration project
Demonstration project to conduct "AI-based
medical interviews" at private clinics in
Singapore
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
In Singapore, increasing chronic diseases such as
high blood pressure and diabetes, and the swelling
medical expenditure stemming from the growing
elderly population have become problems.
A preliminary interview by AI can collect much
information about the patient required for
diagnosing and is expected to improve the medical
examination quality without relying on the
doctor’s ability. Also, by acquiring a large amount
of patient information before examinations, we
aim at resolving issues faced by medical
institutions, such as shortening medical
examination hours (reducing the burden on
doctors) and waiting times (reducing the burden
on patients), and reducing the risk of oversights.

Outline of the demonstration project
Project for PoC on the quality and traceability of
agricultural products through a farming support
platform based on AI image recognition model in
Myanmar
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
While farms in Myanmar are well diversified,
the overall productivity of agricultural sector is
low in part due to undersupply of quality public
services in rural areas, such as introduction of
modern technology and distribution know-how.
In particular, farmers are faced with several
issues in quality and traceability of sesame,
which is regarded as an indispensable and
valuable cash crop in Myanmar.
Improve quality and traceability of sesame as a
target crop, based on AI image recognition
model, introduce a QR code, and make linkage
with a platform "e-Marketplace" for improving
market access for stakeholders in agriculture.

Outline of the demonstration project
Demonstration of horticultural strawberry
cultivation in hot areas (in Chiang Mai,
Thailand)
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
Demand for fresh, high value-added fruits and
vegetables is increasing in Thailand. In
particular, despite the rapid expansion of the
strawberry market, appropriate strawberry
cultivation techniques, which naturally favors a
cold environment, have yet to be established,
resulting in unstable quality and yield.
Introduce horticultural houses to hot areas in
Asia, which are generally considered unsuitable
for cultivation, and establish a food value chain
(FVC) to produce high-quality products with
high reproducibility by digitalizing conditions
of indoor environments and cultivation into
data and using it.

Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
Promotion of digitalization of agricultural land
information: The Thai government is promoting the
development of data infrastructures for expanding
"smart agriculture." However, there are still
operational issues such as paper-based data collection,

Although about 60% of Vietnam's population is
engaged in primary industries, it is declining,
necessitating improved productivity. In Vietnam,
the world's fifth-largest pork producer, pork is a
primary source of animal protein. Demand is
likely to expand due to economic growth in

Development and implementation of a
system to analyze OEE losses (OLA)
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
The Indonesian government is strengthening
the manufacturing sector's competitiveness by
using AI, IoT, and other digital technologies to
transform into a highly productive structure.
However, it is still in a transitional phase, with
many companies not making full use of digital
technologies.
Develop and implement the OLA (OEE Loss
Analyzer) using IoT technologies to maximize
the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of
TPM (Total Productivity Maintenance), one of
the elements of Japanese-style manufacturing,
in Asia, and support enhancing competitiveness
of the Indonesian manufacturing industry.

Outline of the demonstration project
Demonstration project of streamlining education
and training using visual-based manuals in
Myanmar
Targeted economic/social issues and solutions
Labor productivity in Myanmar is low (ranked
134th by the World Bank in 2019). Productivity
improvement in the industry, including the
manufacturing sector and the restaurant and
service sectors with growth prospects, is
essential for the Myanmar economy.
Instead of conventional education styles based
on textbooks, group training, and OJT, we use
digital technologies to provide visual-based
standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals
that enable remote operations.
