3. Rules and Regulations

The competitions will be conducted according to the ISSF Rules and Regulations. Detailed information is available on the ISSF website www.issf-sports.org

Shotgun Equipment

All skeet athletes must have ISSF seals with serial on their marker tapes. Any shooting vests that do not have ISSF seals on the marker tapes must be submitted to Equipment Control for inspection and the affixing of a seal before the competition.Equipment Control will be conducted according to ISSF Rules using approved, calibrated instruments.Pre-competition testing is not mandatory, however, athletes are responsible for competing with legal equipment and clothing. All athletes are urged to submit any doubtful equipment and clothing to Equipment Control or the Shotgun Jury for checking before the competition. All athletes are subject to being selected for random testing during the competition. Athletes found to be in violation of the rules for guns or skeet marker tapes will be disqualified.

4. Participation

Participation of shooters is unlimited in all disciplines. Each country can enter more than one shooter/team for each event and each category. No competition in a particular event will be established of the number of participating individuals/teams is lee than four.

5. Entry Process

Please complete the attached Registration Forms (Annex 1 – 4) and return them by the set deadlines. Entries for Athletes and Officials must be returned to the Organizing Committee.

The Federations and the individual athlete must forward their Entries directly to the Organizing Committee.

Entry Confirmation upon arrival

All Team Leaders of the Federation Delegations must report to the OC Entries Official and confirm their Final Entries. The confirmation must be completed before 12:00h on the day before the Pre-Event Training.

6. Entry Fee

The entry fees include all charges for registration, local transportation between shooting range and official hotels.

The Entry Fees DO NOT include the cost of the Pre-Event and Unofficial Trainings for Shotgun.

Payment of Entry Fees

All payments must be cash in US Dollars or Kazakhstan Tenge only to the Organizing Committee upon arrival at the shooting complex. Payment using either credit or debit cards or travelers or bank checks will NOT be accepted. Upon request, invoice can be sent for payment through bank transfer. Any charge, deducted by bank shall be collected from the federation making payment through bank transfer. Federations are requested to clearly assign payment to Organizing Committee in order to afford credit to the federation.

7. Shooting Range

The competitions in Shotgun will take place at the «Eldorado shooting club», Shymkent, Kazakhstan

The competitions in Rifle and Pistol will take place at the « South-Kazakhstan region integrated school higher sportsmanship», Shymkent, Kazakhstan

The Shotgun shooting range has 3 combined ranges for Trap/Double Trap/Skeet and 1 Skeet range only. The shooting range is equipped with Nasta machines and Range master Company acoustic release system. The Skeet ranges operate with acoustic release system. All ranges are equipped with Range master Company electronic scoreboards. The firing direction of the shooting range is north. The targets used for the competitions are Nasta standard orange for the Qualification and flash orange for the Finals.

The Pistol& Rifle rangeSIUS ASCOR – Electronic targets will be used for all Disciplines.Range: 50m – 15 position, 10m – 10 positions, 25m – 10 position.Running target 10m – 1 position (paper target).

8. Immigration and Customs Requirements

VISA Support Form (Annex 2) will be provided by the Organizing Committee for the competitions. Participants who need VISA support letter are kindly requested to complete VISA Support Form and return it to the Organizing Committee not later than 18 SEP 2019. Please submit the form fully completed. The Form must be sent in WORD format. Please do not change the forms and do not use other forms. Incomplete or incorrect forms will be returned, unprocessed.

The range has a very nice Restaurant and Lunch Bar which can offer drinks, meals, snacks, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices.

10. Travel and Transportation

Travel – Arrival

Airport pick up – Transportation to the Official Hotels (and back for departure)

Service duration: From the airport it would take about 20/30 minutes to the hotels.

Participating Federations/athletes should confirm their departure timetable with the Organizing Committee (Annex 4) at least 48 hours prior to departure from Shymkent, Kazakhstan.

Local Transportation – Shuttle Service

Local transportation between the official hotels and the shooting range will be arranged by the Organizing Committee during official training days and competition days only.

Distance from the hotels to the ranges is approximately 30 to 35 kilometers and takes 20 to 35 minutes to reach there.

The bus schedules for transportation from the hotels to the ranges and back will be available at the Info Centre, in the official hotels and of course, the pigeon holes of all participating nations at the ranges.

Storage of Firearms and Ammunition

The Arms and Ammunition will be stored at the Range in the armory and will not be allowed to be taken out of the shooting range premises at any time. Upon arrival at Astana International Airport, after checking through customs, all firearms will be transported by the Organizing Committee directly to the Shooting Ranges. The Arms and Ammunition will be stored at the Range in the armory and will be not allowed to taken out of the shooting range premises at any time as per the Firearm (Weapon) laws of Kazakhstan. All participants are kindly requested to complete and return the Firearm and Ammunition Form on time.

Note: It is not allowed to bring the cartridges to Kazakhstan.

Each participating nation or an Individual Athlete are requested to bring two (2) national flags and one (1) national anthem recorded on CD.

13. Weather Information

During the month of October, the weather in Shymkent is very pleasant with sunshine and clear sky. The Temperature is expected to be between 15ºC - 20ºC during the day, and 11ºC - 15ºC during the night.

14. Awarding

The gold, silver and bronze medalists in individual events will be awarded with medals, prize-money and diplomas.

The gold, silver and bronze medalists in team events will be awarded only with medals and diplomas.
