The motors are dynamically balanced with a half key applied to the shaft extension in accordance with standard IEC 60034-14 to vibration severity grade normal(N) in standard construction.The following table indicates the maximum vibration grades with respect to the varying shaft heights.Motors can be supplied with either a reduced (R) or a special (S) vibration level on request.

BALANCING AND VIBRATION GRADES

The following table displays the maximum radial loads that can be applied on the end of the shaft extension (FXmax) and at the shaft collar (FXo) for motorswith the following characteristics: standard construction, horizontal mounting, operating frequency at 50Hz, bearing life of 20 000 hours (according toISO R 281-1), bearing operating temperature between –20 and +60°C, and no axial forces.

The instrumentation can have a measurement tolerance of ±10%.

Regreasing systems are normally provided for frame sizes 280 and 315. On request, regreasing systems via grease nipple are available from frame sizes 180plus. In these cases bearings without a screen will be provided.

The maximum radial loads between the values Xo=0 and Xmax=E can be determined from the following linear relationship.

Fxo = maximum radial load at the shaft collar [N].

Fxmax = maximum radial load on the end of the shaft extension [N].

E = shaft extension length [mm].

X = Point of application of the radial force to the shaft collar [mm].

DD motors are normally provided with a IP55 degree of protection. On request IP56, IP65 and IP66 are available with type of protection II 2G EEx d(e) IIC. ContactMarelliMotori for vertical mountings with shaft extension on the top.

COATING

The following table contains the average values of A-sound pressure levels (LpA), measured at a one metre distance, according to standard ISO R 1680. Thevalues are measured in no-load conditions at 50Hz with tolerances of 3dB(A).

DD motors are provided with a terminal box located on the top and the cable entrances on the N-end side of the motor.The terminal box is normally equipped with a 6 lead terminal block plus auxiliaries which can be rotated in steps of 90° on motors from frame sizes 80and above.

The outputs available for ambient temperatures between –20°C and +40°C are shown within the tables from page 7 to 9, if installed below 1000m a.s.l.For ambient temperatures between –50°C and –20°C, EEx d protection in association with special anticondensation heaters are required. The maximum allowableambient temperature is 60°C.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

DD series is provided with PTC in standard configuration. From frame sizes 80 and above motors can be provided with anticondensation heaters. From framesizes 160 and above, motors can be provided with SPM arrangement.
