Julie Kunstler is a Principal Analyst at Ovum specializing in wireline/fixed/wireless access, particularly next-gen broadband technologies, deployments and monetization strategies.

With more than 30 years industry experience, Julie examines new access technologies and the challenges in adoption and deployment. She focuses on components, equipment and SDN/NFV for fiber (PON and next-gen PON), copper (xDSL and G.fast), coax (DOCSIS, CCAP) and wireless (FWA, 5G).

Julie began her coverage of NG-PON2 before it was standardized, focusing on its advantages in access and transport.

Prior to joining Ovum, Julie served as VP Business Development for Teknovus, a broadband chip company that was acquired by Broadcom.

Julie has worked as an executive, investor and board member for communications companies. She received her MBA from University of Chicago.
