ASKING FOR AND GIVING DIRECTION

10.1 INTRODUCTION

In this lesson student will learn the expression on how to ask for and give

direction. This lesson provides student with conversation and practices in role

play so that after completing this subject the student are able to ask for and give

direction.

10.2 PRESENTATION

10.2.1 Practice this conversation with partner

L= Larry, W= Woman

L : Uh,excuse me.I’m trying to find the post office.Can you help meto show

he street

W: The post office?Let’s see now.Oh,yes.You go straight down this street to

the corner.Turn left and go one block until you come to Broadway.Go

right on Broadway.It’s on the right side of the street just past the grocery

store.You can’t miss it.

L: I see.Straight to the corner.Left and then right.

W: That’s it

L: Thaks a lot

W: You’re very welcome.
