If you have always wanted to learn how to communicate using sign language, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! Come learn conversational skills, vocabulary, and techniques that will enable you to continue learning the language outside of this class. This class will use videos, handouts, dialogues, and demonstrations to enhance your learning experience. A Deaf-community member will also come share about Deaf culture and ASL. Come join the fun! The course runs each Tuesday for 8 weeks from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. It will be held at the League for the Blind & Disabled, Inc. at 5821 South Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46816 First class: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 Last class: Tuesday, November 1, 2011 Cost: $50.00. Beginning level sign language class Classes will be taught by Lindsey Grogg, Staff Sign Language Interpreter for DeafLink. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language/Interpreting from Bethel College and has her NIC. She also has interpreting experience in many fields such as medical, educational, platform/performance, mental health, and social services.
