I, the Clean Genie, fell from CLEAN LAND!

And dropped on a human HAND.

Yikes! Guess what I found?

EWW! Wriggling squirming YUCKY worms

Spreading infections and diseases

This sneaky Yuck Germ.

“Humph! I need to stop this germ right away,

And inform everybody to stop being its prey.”

Listen one! Listen all! Use your brain,

We need to flush this Yuck Germ down the drain!

To my great surprise, for my help in this cause

My best buddy WATER WALLY arrived

Seeing the present humans‟ plight

Together, we decided to start this Sanitation DRIVE!

Spreading the message of a Clean Earth

Across the world we went ……

And Hurray! Look who we met around the next bend!

The Green Hero, our other best friend!

He was also on a crusade, spreading the message for greener Earth, the

planet of his birth!

So here we are, Me, the Clean Genie, Water Wally & Green Hero,

Standing in unison with „SAVE Planet Earth‟ our foremost Mission.

So KIDS, join us in this Ride,

Let us be your guides,

To a destination – A SUSTAINABLE WORLD, side by side!

General Instructions for Holiday Homework (Class II)

Holiday homework is divided into three parts:

1. Worksheets

2. Activities – Crafty Creations

3. Class presentation

Read and follow the instructions carefully given with each worksheet.

Use dark lead pencils or colored glitter pens to complete the worksheets.

Complete the worksheets and paste them on thick A4 sized bright colored

sheets and get them spiral bound like a folder.

Decorate the cover page with the pictures or drawings relevant to the theme

that is UNSDGs and with the holiday homework mascots that is Clean Genie,

Green Hero, and Water Wally.

Label the cover page of the folder as „MY SUSTAINABLE ACTS’.

The worksheet work given in the homework has to be done in child‟s own

handwriting only. The parent can guide and support in searching the required

information and facilitating the craft work.

Paste colored glossy pictures wherever required.

Activities - Crafty Creations are defined Roll number wise and is

mentioned in the Activity Instruction Sheet.

Use recyclable or waste material available for craft activities. Avoid using

thermacol as it is not ecofriendly.

The Submission of holiday homework will be as per the dates given below:

1. Submit your folder on MY SUSTAINABLE ACTS on 3rd July,2017

2. Submit your Activities – Crafty Creations on 5th July,2017

3. Class Presentation will be held on 7th July, 2017 which is defined Roll no.

wise.

Tip for a clean hand: Wash your hands back and front, under nails, wrists,

between fingers 20 full second.

You're absolutely right. Now everyone: people in offices, students in schools and colleges are working for a clean and green earth. The UNITED NATIONS has given an agenda of 17 UN Sustainable goals to create a SUSTAINABLE EARTH.

Our kids have understood that everything we need in our daily lives like food, energy, water, clothes, paper etc. comes from the resources present on earth. So if we use our resources carefully and adopt green deeds represented by Hand Print, it can reduce our negative actions shown by a footprint.

Kids! In these holidays you have also

worked on 4 important UNSDGs. Can

you guess their names? The clue is

given by me in the activity sheet.

Write their names as well as paste

their colourful logos on an A-4 size

sheet. To do this activity properly,

follow the format given in the

Activity Instruction Sheet titled ‘I

AM AN EARTH BUDDY’.

Kids, with these interesting worksheets you have come to know a lot about the

importance of Good Health, Clean Water and Sanitation, Clean and

Affordable Energy and have discovered the effects of Climate Change under

Climate Action. These topics are also taken as UN Sustainable Goals. We have also

explored the different ways in which we can help our EARTH. My friends Water

Wally, Green Hero and Myself want you to spread the message of „CLEAN AND

GREEN EARTH‟ with the help of the following CREATIVE CRAFTY CREATIONS.

A) PERSONAL HYGIENE CRAFT

1. Take half A-4 size light coloured pastel sheet.

2. Make a cut out of the body part to be kept clean given to you as per your roll no.

3. Paste the cut out on an A3 size pastel sheet of different colour.

4. Now write 5-6 ways to keep that body part clean in circles. Check the figure given

for reference.

5. Use colourful sketch pens or glitter pens.

B) MY GREEN CRAFTY EARTH (Roll No. 1-23)

Earth wall Hanging using waste material of blue and green colour.

1. Cut a circle of 12” diameter from an old cardboard box.

2. Make the EARTH on the circle using waste\reusable material eg: bottle caps, dyed

jute, old wool, paper mache etc.

3. Cut 3 circles of 4” diameter. On the circles depict the symbols of REDUCE,

REUSE and RECYCLE.
