Requirements for Accessing and Using the ASN Shipping Label

Creator

Update Ship From Address Screen

If the Ship From address and/or EAN.UCC Company Prefix are already populated, please skip to page 9.

The “Update Ship From Address” screen is used to edit, delete or add a ship

from address. Before you begin using the Web tool an address must be populated. 1. Select Update Ship From Address to get to this screen. 2. Select Delete to remove the address from the list. 3. Select Edit to modify an existing address. 4. Select Add New to create a new ship from address. 5. To Return to the Purchase Order Review screen select, “Print Shipping

Add/Edit Ship From Address Screen

The Add or Edit Ship From Address screen is used to update the ship from address location. 1. When adding or editing a ship from address, populate required fields.

Required: Street address, City, State, Zip code and country 2. Select Save

The “Update EAN.UCC Company Prefix” screen is used to edit, delete or add

an EAN.UCC company prefix. 1. Select Update EAN.UCC Company Prefix to get to this screen. 2. Select Delete to remove the company prefix from the list. 3. Select Edit to modify an existing company prefix. 4. Select Add New to enter a new company prefix. 5. To return to the Purchase Order Review screen, select “Print Shipping

Add/Edit EAN.UCC Company Prefix Screen

The Add or Edit EAN.UCC Company Prefix screen is used to populate the

company prefix. 1. Enter the EAN.UCC company prefix twice for verification. The EAN.UCC

prefix is between 6 and 11 characters. 2. Select Save

1. Select the Purchase Order(s)

Hold down the control key to select multiple PO’s. 2. Select one SSCC Label Type:

Carton: Carton means they will be shipping a stand-a-lone carton or more than one carton with 1 label per carton

Pallet: Pallet means they will be shipping one pallet or more than one pallet with one or more cartons, but 1 shipment label.

Ocean: Ocean means that they will be shipping 1 ocean container with one or more cartons and/or pallets and a label for the entire ocean container to be generated.

3. Click on Select ! Please note that only one label will be generated at a time

4. If shipping the entire purchase order within one carton or pallet select: Entire

PO. 5. For partial shipment, selecting the check box next to the sku will automatically

populate the ship quantity with the PO quantity. To a different quantity than the PO quantity, enter specific quantity in the text box.

6. Serial Number(s) may be entered, this is optional. 7. Invoice number(s) for the purchase order may be entered, this is optional. It

is only required when the account is set up for invoicing. 8. To create an additional label for the new carton or pallet within the same PO

select New Carton. 9. Once the necessary information is submitted, select Shipment Complete. ! Selecting Cancel will return to the Purchase Order Review Screen ! Do not use back button on the web browser

These fields will only apply to suppliers who are utilizing the IM Web Invoice Program

The Discount Terms field will contain the default terms for the vendor purchase order. These values can be overridden. # 1

The Unit Price field will contain the default unit price for each line item. These values can be overridden. # 2

If any tax or freight amounts apply, the vendor may enter the tax and/or freight amount. # 3

10. Select paper size: letter, 4X8 or A4 11. Verify Ship From Address and EAN.UCC Company prefix 12. Select a SCAC code. If it is not on the list, select other and enter manually 13. Select shipment type

Ex: LTL, small parcel, truckload 14. Small parcel shipments require tracking numbers for each carton. All other

shipments require shipment/Pro number. Field appears once shipment type is selected.

Verify all ship quantities and skus are correct before step 15 15. Once all information in the summary is verified for accuracy, click on

“Generate SSCC Label” This generates the PDF file containing the SSCC shipment label

The PDF file can be viewed and printed with the freely available Adobe

Acrobat Reader software available from: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. 16. Print the label.

For small parcel, put on the top of the box, away from any packing tape.

For pallets, labels must face out and be located in the upper third of the pallet.

! Ensure the label printed correctly. This is the only opportunity to reprint the label, a new label cannot be generated for the same skus on the same purchase order

17. Once the label is printed, click on “Finish Printing.” The web tool will

return to the “Purchase Order Review Screen” Once a label is printed the next label can be generated.

! Users must format their label print configurations to their own specific

requirements
