Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends Alhamdulillah this has been a very productive term. Some of the activities held were the Family Fun Night, Cross Country, Quran Reading Competition, Walk Safely to school and the Annual College Iftar. I would like to mention that all these events have been very successful and we thank all parents and families for their support. I encourage parents to continue with their involvement in college activities so that we can work in partnership with each other to fulfil our mission, Insha’Allah. I thank all those parents who put in an expression of interest to be part of the parent’s advisory committee. A meeting will be held at Durack campus to discuss future programs and parent involvement. I am really looking forward to working with parents to bring success to our college in all aspects, InshaAllah. The ICAS computer skills, Science, Spelling and Writing tests were held this term. We still have the English and Math tests outstanding. Students are encouraged to do some practices during the holidays. Please feel free to see the teachers if you require practice papers. The semester end results will be analysed and low achievers will be identified and addressed next term Insha’Allah. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s progress this semester, do not hesitate to ring the college and make an appointment to discuss this further. Student portfolios for Prep to year 6 will be sent home in the first week of term 3. Kindly send these back to school for the next semester. The ESL and Learning Support program will be revisited to ensure that your child receives the best support to be able to cope with mainstream classes. As you may be aware that our new building projects have commenced at the Durack Campus This phase will include a new administration building as well as a new classroom block. I would like to remind you all that Term 3 commences on the Monday, 11th July, it is NOT a student free day. Please visit the website for the Calendar of events.
