Locogenwereoriginallycommissionedtoproject-managetheinstallationofMiltonofFisheriewindfarm,consistingoftwoEnerconE70turbines,onbehalfofdevelopersMilwindLtd.Aftersuccessfullydeliveringtheproject,LocogenwerecontractedtoundertaketheongoingAssetManagementforthedevelopment.

TheprojectwascommissionedinMarch2016.Locogenhaveregularly
monitoredtheperformanceoftheturbinessincethen,responding
proactivelytoanyissueswhicharise.
UsingthelatestSCADA(SupervisoryControlandDataAcquisition)
software,Locogencheckprojectstatusseveraltimesdaily,withanyfaults
investigatedimmediately.
Actualproductiondataiscompareddailywiththepublishedpowercurve
andexpectedgenerationfigures.Thismeansthatsubtleevidenceof
turbineunderperformanceisflaggedupearly.
Anyonsitemaintenancerequired,whetherscheduledorreactive,is
co-ordinatedbyLocogenviacontactswiththeturbinemanufacturerand
otherkeystakeholders.
Locogenalsoactontheclient’sbehalftonegotiatethebestpossibleterms
foroperationalcontracts,includingelectricitysupply,PowerPurchase
Agreement(PPA)andinsurance.
Inadditiontoongoingcontactwiththeclient,Locogenproduceamonthly
writtenreportgivingacomprehensiveoverviewoftheproject’s
performance.
