Materials: Marker, Ruler, Cartridge Paper

OBJECTIVES:

1)Learn how to create the illusion of space through two-point perspective.

2)Create an interesting composition with shapes and patterns.

3)Experiment with the principles of balance and unity

On a large sheet of cartridge paper, students will draw lightly in pencil a city-block. Go over in marker and add patterns with repeated lines. To avoid smudging: Place paper under your hand, and turn the ruler upside down.
