Audience Analysis Michaela Grimmig [email protected] My target publics are current UNF freshman and sophomore students who live on campus, and the 72 students employed through the department of Housing and Residence Life. The nickname for my target audience is super swoopers. The super swoopers will all live on campus as either residents or housing employees. The area code for UNF students who reside on campus is 32224. Freshman and sophomores have the opportunity to live in the residence areas the Osprey Crossings, the Hall, the Cove, the Fountains, the Osprey Village, and the Landings. Married students can live on campus but they cannot live with their spouse in freshman or sophomore housing areas. There are currently no married students living in the listed resident areas. According to San Diego University “residential students averaged a 2.81 GPA while off campus students averaged a 2.38. Residential students living in one of the many “learning communities” averaged a 2.89.” They also state that “30% of students living off-campus were placed on academic probation compared with 14% of residential students.” For some information on finances according to consolidated credit “In 2012, the average student debt was $25,000.00.” The zip code for the super swoopers will be 32224, the zip code for the university. According to Psychology Today Generation Y the generation of current college students has specific needs. They value connection, the more optimistic , socially conscious, and our craving constant communication with their peers. Psychology Today also states that Generation Y have a higher tolerance to diversity. Current college student also values individuality as long as they are still considered a part of the group. In other words current college students strive to stand out within the group. Finally current college students enjoy spending their time with friends hanging out listening to music and watching television. Brief Outline
