Freedom Writers (Drama)

White, female teacher gets a new teaching job in South Beach where there are predominant racist and gang problems among the troubled teens

Main characters have severe family problems at home and most students have been witness to gun crime

She tries very hard to respect them and sacrifices a lot from her personal life to give them opportunities including field trips

They begin to respect her and each other and become better students

She fights to remain their teacher for rest of their school career
