Why Thinking skill and ICT are supplement and complement

How are Thinking skill and ICT related? Technology is a broad term for human tool systems.

Human learning and thinking is mediated by tool-systems. These could include words within a language, a notepad and pencil or a computer network. In this review I limit myself to looking at computer-based technologies used to handle information and aid communication (ICT). Thinking is both individual and social. There is a constant movement of the internalisation of social thinking into individual thinking and externalization outagain into social thinking. Higher order thinking is to be found in the whole movement of thought and not just in the individual part of this movement.

Page 11: Assignment 7(a) powerpoint

The objective of the report thinking skill and ICT is study the Thinking skill and ICT is supplement and complement each other to enhance students learning quality. Nowadays, the advancement of technology ICT are increase the quality of education but the effectiveness of using ICT required the help of good thinking skill.

ObjectiveMINI RESEARCH

Page 12: Assignment 7(a) powerpoint

Firstly, when we created 10 questions questionnaires in Google Doc form and Survey Monkey about assignment mini research with title Thinking skill and ICT.The questions should related with the aim of the research.Next, copy the Google Doc form web link(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHZQbUxFclBTaWIwbVNfbk9xWXdsalE6MQ) and share it to our UKM friends through Facebook and email and also print out the questionnaires, give at least 10 friends in the UKM kolej to answer.

Results of the survey:

Page 13: Assignment 7(a) powerpoint

The total number of respondents in graph TS_Gender is 26.The 6 respondents is answer the online Google Doc questionnaire form(23.0%) and 20 respondents is answer the Spreadsheed questionnaire(77.0%). The results of the survey shows that respondents of female is higher than male respondents.

Gender

Age

The graph TS_Age shows that 21 respondents with the age range between 15-20(80.0%) is higher then5 respondents with age range between 21-25(20.0%).

Page 15: Assignment 7(a) powerpoint

The graph TS_Discuss shows that most of the respondents often discuss their assignments with peers using Facebook, email and so on that is 20 respondents(77.0%).5 respondents answer that will discuss the assignment using ICT when some peers is not free to meet out(19.0%).Next, only have 1 respondent answer that do not discuss assignment with groups members through Facebook, email and so on(4.0%).

The graph TS_assignment shows that the same number of repondents answer that Sometime will using ICT when the assigment required using ICT to complete(50.0%) and always using ICT to complete theassignment(50.0%).The overall graph TS_ Assignment shows that the learning culture of the UKM studends mostly base on ICT.No responden on only refer to conventional method.

Base on the graph TS_Advantage shows that the most of the respondent agree that nurture the students with ICT eucation since they are young is to enhance and boost the development of a country(19.0% Strongly agree and 65.0% Agree).Other 1 respondent is disagree the statement (4.0%)and 3 responded not sure about the statement(12.0%). The overall graph TS_ Advantage shows that majority students are agree that nurture thestudents with ICT education since they are young is to enhance and boost the development of a country.

Advantage

Page 25: Assignment 7(a) powerpoint

The ICT and Thinking skill have the very close relationship and play the important role to improve student learning quality.Base on our mini research,we find that UKM students thinking skill still need to be improve. The ways we need to improve the problem is we should nurture the student since they are young. This is because when they are still in the stage of becoming an adult, their creativity and innovative thinking are developing as well. Hence, with the early stage of education towards these youngsters, we are able to create a more savvy ICT society in order to enhance and boost the development of a country.Next, Government of Malaysia should refer to the other successful countries in the field of ICT such as Germany or Korea as well .This is because with the help and guidance of these professional countries, the government of Malaysia is able to kill two birds with one stone because the exchanging ideas between two countries on the topic of ICT will create a new idea to boost the development of technology.Lastly, Parents should implant a critical and creative thinking when their children are born. This is probably because scientists have proven that children tend to imitate their parents actions. As a result, parents have played a role model to their children as well.
