Solution \\

Introduction:

My hometown Baghdad is the capital of the Republic of Iraq, located in the heart of my country. Tigris River divides Baghdad into two parts (Karkh) and (Rusafa). Area it’s about 204.2 km². A population of about 7.6 million people in 2013, making it the largest city in Iraq, the second largest city in the Arab world (after Cairo, Egypt), and the second largest city in Western Asia (after Tehran, Iran). According to the government, the population of the country has reached 35 million, with 9 million in the capital.

Baghdad is now suffering from traffic jams because of increased in cars where the streets can’t absorb this increase, and a little of use of public transport and not-use of the railway and the metro.

The status of services has deteriorated significantly in Baghdad after Iraq's wars in recent decades, and especially the second Gulf War in 1991, and the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, and the subsequent events which led to the arrival of the case of public services to very low levels. Baghdad suffers of Increase in population and traffic jams and the lack of services, so need to build up the urban center and put the developers in challenge to serve Baghdad and population its .

All this time Baghdad's problems affecting our country can all seem overwhelming and can lead to a sense of powerlessness and apathy. However, there are many simple, ordinary things that we can all do locally to ensure a better quality community for the future, and reason the economic situation deteriorating & war will hampered the planning till recover from the economic situation deteriorating and salvation of war.I will explain how Integration of transportation and growth and futurity should:

1- Improved the road system in Baghdad by making use of the spaces beside the previous roads and make it more encompassing with the creation of the subway and river transport.

2- Increase the pedestrian field, particularly in the city core and high density fields and provide passage in the walkways for disables people.

3- Make a central station include all cases of strings that reach all the areas all around the urban center.

4- Make bus terminal and station near to the central train station to make it easy come from another city by trains or buses switch to other trains or passenger vehicle.

5- Improved bus system and replace older buses with new singles with new engineering systems for navigations and observation systems.

6- Keep the green spaces and plants in the middle strip to cut the air contamination.

A) The first phase of the future plans for public transport in Baghdad:

1- The establishment of the metro project: it is a line of railroad underground serves the areas within the city of Baghdad, and the implementation of the line design (metro) based on studies advanced traffic within the city so that up to a certain extent, be with him normal unhelpful transport process because of the congestion increasing the number of population and the increasing number of cars on the streets, and so metro projects carried out in many countries. The project consists of 3 main lines. line A, consists of 9 stations, line B, consists of 6 stations, line C, consists of 6 stations, all linked to (the main central station) which is currently called the Global station from which trains moving to the rest of the governorates of Iraq, in addition to the presence of transport vehicles in and out of Baghdad station, which is located almost in the middle of Baghdad in addition to the 3 sub-lines. D line, consists of 3 stations, line E, consists of 3 terminals, G line, consists of 4 stations. Total final metro stations, 31 stations, including the main central station, (shown by map below) and (shown by sketch below).

2- The establishment of the rail circular line project around the city of Baghdad : It is carried out for the purpose of avoiding intersections between internal roads, and connecting external roads which moving from Baghdad to the provinces, where the whole line circular linked, and Begins circular line and ends to the Global Station (major central station), and designs of the project are to avoid the intersection with roads using tunnels, bridges, and includes a railway line double surrounds the city of Baghdad, with work bridges for the rail line on the Tigris River if necessary, and consists of 20 stations, joint with the central main station, and joint with 3 metro stations, (shown by map below) and (shown by sketch below).Can divide the starting and the return of the train to 4 stages:

1st stage: Starting (from -- to) (TS1 -- TS2 -- TS3 -- TS4 -- TS5), Return (from -- to) (TS5 -- TS4 -- TS3 -- TS2 -- TS1),2nd stage: Starting (from -- to) (TS5 -- TS6 -- TS7 -- TS8 -- TS9), Return (from -- to) (TS9 -- TS8 -- TS7 -- TS6 -- TS5),3rd stage: Starting (from -- to) (TS9 -- TS10 -- TS11 -- TS12 -- TS13 -- TS14 --TS15), Return (from -- to) (TS15 -- TS14 -- TS13 -- TS12 -- TS11 -- TS10 -- TS9),4th stage: Starting (from -- to) (TS15 -- TS16 -- TS17 -- TS18 -- TS19 -- TS20 --TS2), Return (from -- to) (TS2 – TS20 -- TS19 -- TS18 -- TS17 -- TS16 -- TS15).

3- Improve and develop the public transport bus system: public buses to connect the networks operate passenger trains and subway stations that have no access to the metro network.

4- The establishment of river transport project: give the Tigris River great importance in the urban landscape of the city, And considered as one of the natural symbols influential In the form of public city, and its dominance of large on the climate and the overall environment of the city, and make it part of the improved environment, orchards and surrounding areas to create environmentally and improved network of attractive regions factors urban landscape and climate of the city and the masses, and as a byproduct of the exploitation of the river, river transport can study as a means of entertainment in addition to its function as one of the alternatives for transport and a means of transportation added.

5- Re-survey design and modernization of the railway between Baghdad and the provinces projects: because Baghdad is the capital of Iraq, political, administrative and economic. Baghdad is a major pole for trade and wholesale in Iraq.

B) The second phase of the plan the future of public transport in Baghdad:

1- The establishment of the fly train project (Germany).

We must get ahead of time to keep pace with global technological development because we are very lagging behind in this field, especially in the rail and metro projects.... We hope to implement as it was supposed to be implemented in my contract eighties and nineties, but then

circumstances have prevented its implementation and there are intensive efforts for the purpose of updating and implementation in order to be in the service of citizens in their movements inside Baghdad and the provinces instead of the current modes of transport, which is today an old ... and (so tired ) for the citizen The transportation by subway is fast and civilized and comfortable transport and we must keep up with the development in other countries, thankfully Ours includes capabilities and expertise of engineering and scientific good and we have a good financial possibilities to implement such projects and that our people the people of civilizations does not know the impossible and this is not difficult It deserves it this work and this achievement which will be implemented soon, God willing.
