What are the assessment methods? The TDP assessment methods are based on the candidate being able to evidence change intheir teaching practice over the three year programme. The candidate will collect evidencethroughout the programme through the submission of completed assessment tasks, observations and action research. In order for each task to be completed the TaskAssessment Form for each assignment must be signed off by the assessor.

What are the assessment criteria? For each assessment the candidate must evidence professional development throughsubmission of

completed task materials lesson Plan and teaching materials etc. completed Task Assessment Form

The Task Assessment Forms must demonstrate professional development through reflectivepractice and change to the candidates teaching practice. The candidate must be able todemonstrate they have reflected on their current teaching practice in relation to the task. Thecandidate must show awareness of their current teaching approach and identify the potentialfor change or future development. Lastly, and most importantly, the candidate must be ableto demonstrate how they will apply the new learning in their future teaching practice. Thecandidate must be able to demonstrate clearly what they are going to do in real and practicalterms. Look at the example below of a candidate meeting the reflective criteria.

How will I collect evidence? Each year the candidate will compile a portfolio of evidence and submit their evidence alongwith the Task Assessment Forms to their British Council assessor. At the end of the year thecandidate must submit the portfolio to the assessor, along with all completed assessmenttasks and evidence, for sign off. In addition, they must complete an end of year PortfolioReflective Account, which must be signed off by the assessor.
